Ahead of participating in the WCS EU Ro16 this Tuesday MMA answered some questions about life in Germany, his Group A opponents (TLO, Strelok and ForGG) and his general thoughts on balance in HotS.
How his training is different in Germany than Korean:
On the one hand it's hard to find specific training partners here in Germany compared to Korea, where I could ask any progamer to help (I can't ask them because of the latency and time). But on the other hand being in the team house here in Bad Toelz with its amazing environment is really relaxing after living in Korean team houses for such a long time.
On how HotS compares to WoL as a tournament game:
In WoL Infestors were too strong and it was kinda funny because all my Zerg friends accepted it only after switching to HoTS. The TvZ match-up is now more balanced than in WoL. I think overall I can say that, compared to WoL, tournaments are more balanced in Hots. Especially if you look at the TvZ match-up, the balance is much better than in WoL, because of the Infestor nerf.
If MMA is a favourite to win the tournament, and who he thinks will be the biggest threats in the whole field:
I think the I will have a good chance to become the champion of WCS Europe when I win my group in the round of 16. From all the players of the Ro16 I think Lucifron, Naniwa or Vortix are going to be the most difficult opponents. They are really good top tier players in Europe.
