MOD NOTE: The bracket on Liquipedia is not final and should be assumed to be speculative. If you are a competitor, trust what MLG Admins tell you over the bracket. |

He didnt respond to anyone asking if he won so I guess he's adhering to the silence policy

WJS Aria played in the WCS KR qualifier.
Not WJS Aria. A guy from imP.

Because DQ'ing Demuslim, and him therefore not getting to play in the challenger qualifiers would really be the perfect note to end this on.
And whos genius idea was that ? Europe had ~30k+ people watching the live streams for their qualifiers for 4.5 days . Nobody likes to watch casting from replays no matter how good the production might be.

U have a point. But do not forget that mvp and mc? are also playing eu.... ofcourse less koreans in EU but mvp and mc are on of the biggest players ever in sc2. There could be a good story right there...

What about Demulism tweeting the results? Can he be banned from Challenger?
Rule from MLG General Rules - Point 1: Results of the matches may not be shared. This means that the matches cannot be streamed, results cannot be shared on social media, or posted on community websites, etc. Failure to comply with this rule may result in disqualificiation. Players who are disqualified won’t receive any benefits (seeding, prize, etc.) for their ranking in the WCS America Season 1 Qualifying Tournament. Such Players may also be subject to a Temporary Ban from MLG’s Network of Websites and/or a Ban from a future Event(s).
http://gamebattles.majorleaguegaming.com/pc/starcraft-ii-wings-of-liberty/tournament/wcs-america-season-1-qualifyin/rules
If he loses his seeding, then he might not be able to even participate in the Challenger League.

I may blow a fucking gasket if they use that rule on Demuslim

The source is not reliable, but I heard all the 8 qualified people are Koreans.

dont worry he's safe. they already banned all the remaining accounts so you couldnt look up results by checking their profile plus there would be too much backlash for a player of his popularity

So we don't know who qualfied?????? Sad about Demu....

They won't. If they did they'd have to DQ Crank as well.
That said, if they were chinese or lesser known players, both would have been bitch-slapped into next week by the rule book.

Even though most of the group stage matches are casted from replays the production and fact that the games create a story leading up to the main event make the games enjoyable.

Wouldn't you still prefer to see the games live ? Especially in a tournament like this where the games are fucking important. Gets you way more viewers.

kinda disappointed by Liquipedia. would like to see the editors go full maverick and post the results that we all know should be up regardless of MLG being idiots.

I dont get why MLG didnt just say like "hey guys! Miya and Apocalypse are switched on your bracket! could you fix it to avoid confusion?" cause clearly they knew for a while. Could have saved a lot of confusion but I guess they reallllly didnt want the results leaked, even though they have to know people will post them anyways. hell we almost have all of them now

The in-studio WCS Europe tournaments (group stage 2 and beyond) will be held at the ESL TV studios in Cologne, Germany. Flight and hotel will be provided at no cost to players who are traveling from within Europe. Group stage 2 = Ro16; MLG's will be held at their studio at the same stage of WCS WCS NA and EU Ro32 will be held online.
