gumiho vs rain. Yes on that day gumiho played better. However rain doesn't just have a ro4 code S. He has an insane win rate in proleague. He does well in every tournament he plays in. MLG he gets top 8 every time. He Won WCS Asia while winning 3rd at the finals. He wins with solid play rather than gimmicks and he is consistent. This is what makes him better than gumiho. However. When gumiho is on, he is freaking on. Yep.. that's the thing. Anyone who has watched him enough knows that any day Gumiho can wake up on his right foot and destroy anyone. It's just how he rolls.

god, i don't know why, but this really makes me wish Mvp can get some miraculous surgery so he can be unbeatable again T_T

Flash and Soulkey advance!
I hope Flash impresses in his first Code S!
Not like it was super difficult to predict, but I'd just like to point out how close I was.

Anyone remember the MVP game where he'd been smashed, I believe vs. zerg, and it felt like he kept sending out 2-3 marines versus a maxed out army and somehow he stayed in the game for quite a while? I'm exaggerating a bit, but I remember Tastosis just being in total disbelief and repeating things like, "I don't know how he's doing this, guys."? I was never a big MVP fan, but that game has really stood out in my mind.

Against Gumiho you have to defend almost perfectly the entire game, one lapse of concentration and you lose half the probes at your expo or something

One of my favorite Mvp moments was that game on Metalopolis where MKP flies to the gold. That one is just priceless.

That was a great game. Mvp read MKP like a book.

Wasn't that vs MC in this first GSL World Championships? Or did he do it to Mvp too?

One of those games that exemplifies MVP > MKP, much as I like the latter

Call me a Kespa-fanboy or w/e although I'm a huge fan of Mvp even if he was playing with perfect wrists he wouldnt be the best...hell I dont even think he'd be top 5 at the moment although he'd be top tier.

Mvp's understanding of the game was unsurpassed during a time when the game wasn't figured out yet. To me that's a more impressive feat than dominating when it is figured out. His game sense and understanding of the game won him 1 championship and one runner's up medal (3-4) when he could barely play in 2012. Of course it's all hypothetical how we think he'd do healthy because we'll never have a healthy Mvp, but there is still no player in SC2 that has shown his level of understanding and resilience.
But I do agree he wouldn't dominate and probably wouldn't be the best even if he was healthy. Always a contender though.
