Collins to leave sixers
Two people with knowledge of the situation tell The Associated Press that Doug Collins will not return next season as coach of the Philadelphia 76ers. The people spoke to The AP on Sunday on condition of anonymity because the Sixers and Collins had not formally announced the move. Collins told management he wanted to leave following a season that has the Sixers stuck in ninth place in the Eastern Conference. The Sixers won 35 games and a round in the playoffs in last year's lockout-shortened season. Collins led the Sixers to the playoffs in his first two seasons. The decision came hours after his agent, John Langel, told reporters Collins would return for a fourth season. "He's here for another year, at least," Langel said. It didn't even last hours. Yahoo Sports first reported Collins would leave after the Sixers beat the Cavaliers.

Now if you were the Spurs, would you prefer to not have the #1 seed?

Good fucking win. Solid night from Steve and Antawan we're going to need a LOT more from those 2 guys if we want to have a chance at not getting swept in the playoffs.
Hopefully we get Nash back soon, between him and Kobe being out there was almost no playmaking this whole game.
We got lucky. Parker was cold, the three ball wasn't falling for San Antonio and Steve Blake shot unusually well. But I'll take it.
Catch us now Utah!

I don't think the Thunder will lose to the Kings or Bucks, do you?

What we need is more of a performance from Jodie Meeks. He needs to make his threes and get a solid 12-15 points.
Plus Earl Clark needs to do his share of lifting too. Pau was cold today as well and I don't expect that to continue. He'll probably be back in form on Wednesday (assuming Lakers play their starters)

Prob not unless Durant goes cold.

Clark hasn't had that same consistency since he was moved back to the bench, which is always the risk you run. Some guys can come off the bench and some can't.
But yea you're right about Jodie. the dude is in there to shoot and he needs to make those shots.
Good overall game from Darius Morris too btw. I always like watching him play as long as he's not trying to do too much. He can defend and run a fast break but that's about it.
Chris Duhon on the other hand...... he's a lost cause.

We'll know tomorrow when they play the Dubs!
Knowing Pop and OKC's remaining games, I think he's going to play his B line-up. Good for the Dubs at least in keeping in the race for 6th.
Good luck to Houston on Wednesday.

Pau was off offensively, but he had 16 boards and he did a better job on Duncan than Dwight was.
I think it's interesting that all 5 Lakers starters took more than 10 shots. I'm not sure if that's happened all season long.

Duhon played like 4 minutes, cut him some slack. Its hard to come off the bench after not playing for a long time against a good Spurs team.
Morris had some good defense. He's also physically strong which might come in handy stopping Westbrooke on a drive (Although I doubt he will get playing time at that point since Nash will prob be back)

Yeah I think Spurs will def seat their meaningful guys tomorrow. They won't catch OKC for first now and Denver can't catch them for second. Doesn't really make much sense to risk Parker and Duncan tomorrow.

That's because Pau actually understands footwork and what a big man can and can't do with it.
In regards to the starters getting shots, we normally don't see World Peace and Blake both getting more than 10 attempts in a game but with Kobe out the offense has to come from SOMEWHERE.
Guaranteed if Pau hadn't been so off the shot chart would've been less evenly distributed.

Conversely, OKC is probably the worst MU the Lake show could hope for. Durant and WB will shoot 50FTs a night.

BTW. The Mavs are now finally over .500 so Dirk went and immediately shaved his beard following the win.

This is not shaping up to be a pretty run for the Grizz. We just can't seem to beat the Cloppers no matter what.
