Today's victory came from an all kill. How do you feel?
IntoTheRain: I feel so glad. The losing team today would have been in the same boat as the HanWha Eagles. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanwha_Eagles) We grabbed an all kill today but we need to make sure that we don't feel like we're now on the same boat as the NC Dinos and work hard. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NC_Dinos)
GanZi: Last year, I suffered an injury and had to forfeit the GSL, and then went on to put my pro gaming career on hold for a while. I was finally able to show my face today after such a long time, and then I secured my first ever all kill so I am just thrilled right now.
Both teams were at 0 wins, 1 loss, so today's victory was pretty important.
IntoTheRain: To start off, I was feeling anxious. I sent out GanZi as the starter because he told me he was confident but I was worried about losing the first game or worried about stopping at only one victory. So BBoongBBoong did a lot of preparing for todays match but in the end, all he got to do was go back home. I am glad that we grabbed an all kill but no one else got to play today. I wish GanZi would learn to care more about his teammates (laughs). I really am sorry to rest of my players.
Both teams suffered an all kill last week.
IntoTheRain: Our very first time participating in the regular season and we ended up as a victim of an all kill. When I was just watching it on stream, I didn't think much of it but now that I've personally experienced it for myself, I couldn't really process it. I even felt this anxiety that we could end up placing last this season. But thanks to today's victory, we're going to use this as a stepping to stone to casually win all the rest of our games one step at a time. We've been too conceited lately so it's time for us to just slowly make way up now.
In your game against jjakji, you did a bomb drop on him and instantly finished him off.
GanZi: In the beginning, I lost my units way too easily to jjakji's well positioned cliff units. Now, I'm not sure if it was because I had already established two kills or what but I was able to maintain my advantage mentally and jjakji played passive so I was able to take the victory.
Overall, it feels like you won rather easily.
GanZi: I don't really have a lot of confidence these days so I slowed down a lot during game two. I thought it was going to be difficult to secure more victories but as it turned out, I was able to predict all of Sting's movements. I think NSH was feeling a huge pressure because they also got all killed last week. I think the players were all really feeling down and that's why the victory was much more easier than expected.
You stated that you would grab an all kill this week after the all kill occurred last week.
GanZi: That's something that I just stated because I was angry (laughs). My teammates had not done their best so i got angry when they looked all disappointed after we lost last week. I did state what I said because I honestly felt that way and I wanted to show that I was capable of putting up a good result so I claimed the starter position.
You have a 1-1 record but AZUBU is still ranked 6th. Therefore, AZUBU is probably not in a safe zone yet.
IntoTheRain: There are still 5 matches left. We didn't even have Symbol today because of his Code S match. From here on out, it is total war. Rather than just send out any player that may or may not have a chance, my plan from here on out is to only send out players that I know that are capable of winning for us. We need to secure as many victories as possible in order to have an advantageous situation for the post season so I'm only going to be looking at grabbing victories.
You mentioned Sleep in your televised interview.
IntoTheRain: Most recently, Sleep got eliminated from the very first round of the WCS qualifiers. So I advised him to stay the team house. I mentioned him because I was worried that he would be feeling down. But I'm sure he's happy now because we won today.
Anything else you would like to say?
IntoTheRain: I still don't know a lot of things and there are still things I need to learn. The game also started off with an expansion pack. I am still a newcomer at coaching but I am working hard so I can understand the players, and I'm also receiving advice from people around me so that I can turn AZUBU into one of the top teams of the world.
GanZi: These days, I think all I hear about is my age and my injury. But right now, this point in my career is the happiest. I receive a lot of care from the supervisor and the coach. They really are a huge help. There are a lot of things that are hindering me right now but I want to prove that anything is possible as long as you work hard, so I am just gritting my teeth and furiously practicing. Lastly, I wish all the rest of my teammates also work hard so that we can one day turn AZUBU into a very powerful team.
