Christ Your post is hilarious, do you realise before HotS, there was almost no-muta play, but since release, how often do we see mutas ZvP ? Every. Single. Fucking. Game. With huge winrate because a Protoss can't split his army efficiently to deal with both mutas in main and ground army in expands. As Protoss, because tech is insanely expensive, you can't afford to harass by sending a portion of your army in mineral lines, and your main part in expands. You're going to say "oracles", to that I answer no, because ground without tech just dies to almost everything if you don't have like godlike micro and infinite forcefields.

Phoenixes are pretty good against mutas last I checked. Ground-based stalker into temp defenses don't really work though, at all.

We need to see how is the winrate of games with more than 15 mutas for ZvP.

Mutas were the reason MC lost to Life at MLG. MC lost to his own build in PvP and he lost to the same thing that cost him a tournament like a month ago. Makes me wonder.

Yeah, we really should consider this the more likely situation than a Blizzard employee being aggressively BM about a pro player. What am I saying, pitchforks are already on the move :/

Before HotS there was an OP composition, obv people were going to go for it. Just because something else was better doesn't mean mutas were bad...

There was plenty of muta play in WOL ZvP. And Protoss made the same complaints that you're making now. Not sure why oracles would be the solution to mutas; blizzard obviously intend phoenix to be with the range buff and range upgrade; maybe that's what you meant. I do think the muta speed + regen buffs were unnecessary, but come on man. You in particular can't balance whine about this game because MC got waaay behind with his failed attack. His defeat was only a matter of time.
