Thats not the same as martyring Oh but they do, remember the most recent KwarK controversy? + Show Spoiler + crazyweasel was just temp banned for 2 weeks by KwarK. That account was created on 2011-03-07 02:51:35 and had 320 posts. Reason: Arguing in the general forum without a shred of awareness of the issues involved, instead just going for the generic USA = evil bandwagon. The incident that got you banned was when you tried to argue that the USA was an aggressive evil state while NK was not and then cited the Korean War (in which NK invaded SK and a UN force was created to defend SK self detirmination) as an example of this. Not in my general forum. We have standards.

Lol I was beginning to think DubTrub is a PBU because he posts here quite a bit despite being a fairly new account... I guess this gem of a lapse in reason invalidates that possibility. :< On April 06 2013 00:49 docvoc wrote: Dangit I was sniped -_-. I wonder why people think its funny to make fun of someone who is trans , why are there so many scarlett trolls. Because they can. I don't think it has much to do with actually hating her, it's just that some users can't tell the difference between TL and reddit/4chan.

Prejudice over time tends to dissipate with a bit of familiarity, for example homophobia has noticeably declined even just in my lifetime as homosexual people became more represented in public roles, and a lot of stuff lead on from that. Sadly, people appear to need a few 'role models' to see that people who may have a sexual orientation that they find strange to stop being dicks to people who have those kind of differing identities, rather than just saying 'I won't be an asshole to my fellow humans'

I mean it's the internet, it would be a bit unfair to call out jealousy and bigotry when it can very much be a case of kids with nothing better to do than post edgy/offensive jokes and comments on the internet. Sadly for them TL isn't the place for that.

Some people are also just trying to be controversial and bait to get a reaction.

Anything I'd say would just be misconstrued and taken out of context, then there'd be a massive internet slap fight until I said something stupid and get myself permabanned. Thing is, I'm not a PBU, I have never been nor do I wish to be in contact with any outstanding PBUs, etc. etc.

Asking for a ban is like asking to disconnect from that distraction for a period of time, be it for exams, work, or for some other reason. It's the same reason you leave your laptop and phone at home when you go on holiday - removing the temptation. There are many people who deliberately request bans for that reason, and TL is happy to oblige. They are banned but the mods add a mod note to their account that it is a 'requested' ban, and not for misbehaviour. They are free to return at any time by sending a PM to a mod requesting to be unbanned. There are of course a few oddballs here and there who masochistically ask for bans, I'm looking at you Praetorial ~

Psychobabas was just temp banned for 2 weeks by KadaverBB. That account was created on 2006-03-29 05:04:48 and had 1891 posts. Reason: You were permed once before, I have no problem with doing it again. Improve your posting or just stay away please. lololol I hope he doesn't end up getting permed. I like Psychobabas, we hang out together in Avilo's stream (and several others). I'm rooting for you, Psychobabas!

I'll have to ask him about that the next time I see him in a stream-chat. Why would he be permed for being under 13?

I was wondering why I never see him on the forums anymore. Also, was he the one who did that? I don't remember anything about him much though I know he got banned, didn't know it was a perm. EDIT: nvm, just checked TL found out he is still here, maybe it's a new account idk, he just got temped.

How does him hanging out in Avilo's stream explain his behavior?
