I don't believe we're there yet. And no matter what Mvp does, he'll have lots of support. Giving up on him already seems foolish, especially knowing what he has accomplished in his state before.

Only explaination: Mvp switched souls with MKP so he would help him get his first GSL win.

Mvp fighting! Will always be a fan of his, no matter what he chooses to do. Hope he uses this break to get his health in order.

He'll take it back right before the finals and watch MKP lose 0-4

I dont give a damn about 2013 WoL Mvp ... this guy dominated 2012 and deserved a break after his heavy injury he gave us an awesome Wol show in 2012 and i'll never forget about that he is and will be King of Liberty hope he gonna rest now and give us again an awesome year of starcraft

Rough times for Mvp fans
He was always an inspiration for other Terrans such as aLive (similar style)
Giving up GSL due to wrist problems really must annoy him, on the other side health comes first and he shall return stronger than ever when he has recovered and returns to HOTS
King of Liberty !!

It's an outrage that I haven't signed up to be a fan yet!! Please sign me up. When I got into the SCII scene the two best players in the world were Mvp and Nestea. So, I've never really not been a fan of Mvp.
Good luck in the future, Mvp! Whether you choose to get better or keep playing, I hope your efforts will lead to your continued success.

Also yeah sign me up please. IMMVP is based.

Sign me up!
Long live the king!

I will be going to korea in October, my goal is to find him and give him one of these t-shirts + Show Spoiler + as well as tell him (in korean, if I can learn it soon enough) just how big of an inspiration he is to me.
Would love to see him play in person as well, hope that isn't too much to wish for

From Team Liquid's recap:
On February 07 2013 09:46 TeamLiquid ESPORTS wrote:⇩ LG Incredible Miracle (LGIM): It was a rough night for LG-IM last night as all five of their players in Seed, First, Happy, ByuL, and Mvp were sent to Code B. Honestly, it’s been a rough GSL season overall for the IM team. They started with 5 players in Code S, but only Losira managed to advance. In Code A they are currently 2 for 7, with only Yonghwa and Yoda surviving the Ro48 thus far. Of the games last night, only Seed really put up a fight against his opponent, while the others fell listlessly. First was caught off guard by the 1/1/1. Happy lost to Killer’s two base all-ins. Byul got caught by bad build orders against Effort. Mvp looked okay in a game one loss where he barely missed his timing against soO, but was trounced by roaches in game two. With all of that in mind, IM stock is now at the lowest it has been since the beginning of 2012. Though, with most of their players having little left to do but prepare for HotS, you may want to start investing in them again come March... End of an Era: The King of Wings ~ 2010 Oct. - 2013 Feb.Last night, LG-IM_Mvp finally succumbed to his long struggle with his wrist injury. It has been a legendary two year run, but Mvp is now officially out of the GSL. Mvp was, and still is, a very unique player. After his initial rise to the top of the world in 2011 with three GSL championships, the worsening pain in his wrists forced him to reinvent himself as a player. In 2011, he used superior mechanics to defeat his opponents. In 2012, he was using mind-games, build orders, and his unmatched calmness under pressure to beat opponents. During his finals runs in 2012, no could could say Mvp's mechanics were particularly remarkable. Rising stars like PartinG, Life, and TaeJa were heard to say they didn't see anything special in his play. But if there was one thing Mvp was better at than the rest of the world, it was winning. Though no one could fully understand how he pulled it off time and time again, Mvp came to represent the epitome of StarCraft 2, the one thing that every player and fan loves and respects more than anything else. Mvp came to represent victory. At first glance, there's nothing particularly drawing about Mvp. He doesn’t have the showmanship of MC or Parting, wear heart on his sleeve like MKP, or play with the flair of Leenock or HerO. What Mvp does have is burning desire to win no matter the odds. No matter how badly Terran was doing, how poor his wealth was, or how badly he seemed to be outmatched by his opponent on paper, MVP would always try to find a way to win. Sometimes he would pull a 11/11 rax in the deciding game, other times he would invent a completely new build that would forever change the metagame. If there was only one player in all the world that would be remembered with SC2: WoL, it is Mvp. He is the player that won the most championships in the most competitive league in the entire world under conditions that would have been almost impossible for anyone else. Even though Mvp has fallen now, he will be back. The GSL is his kingdom, and he shall return. Long live the King.
Long live the King indeed.

It was a very fitting write-up, would like him to have a full article on his own though.

Just an update about the updated Mvp VODs/Replays list... I've suddenly become swamped with tons of work. At the very least, I will not be able to finish anything until March. Once March hits, I might have more free time to work on the list once more and finish it up.
