This game only uses one cpu core PLUS it has severe memory leak, which means it WILL crash. The higher your population, the worse it gets. It becomes unbearable around just 500k population, which is not a lot in this game at all. Plus, this game lacks basic funtionality. Hell, it doesnt even have trains.

This, it's completely possible to M&KB, but you will be at a severe disadvantage to players using controllers.

Look I completely understand if people don´t like playing with keyboard and prefer a controller. But I´ve played 100 hours with keyboard and the notion that plaeys with keyboard are at a disadvantage to players with a controller is just not true. You can control just as well with a keyboard.

While potentially true, playing with two hands is WAY easier and WAY more comfortable. So, playing with one hand, you've got a disadvantage. Same as playing with a keyboard, when using a controller is way easier.

I'm perfectly capable of performing well with a M&KB, but WHY would I when a controller is much more suited for this type of game? The analog sticks make selective movement speeds much simpler and the button scheme makes much more sense on a controller which allows you to spend more time focusing on the game and less on doing ridiculous keybinds. I prefer M&KB in basically any game ever, I hate controllers in FPS' and the like -- but Dark Souls is a controller game. It's like trying to play Splinter Cell with a keyboard. It's just awkward IMO.

I´m not telling anyone they should play with keyboard. If you a controller is more comfortable for you (it is for everyone if you´re not used to the keyboard controls, I admit) then use a controller. It´s just not everyone has a controller and buying one just for dark souls isn´t worth it, when after a few hours of adjusting (which, being new to the game, you´d need to do with a controller anyways) you can control just as well as anyone using a controller. I just don´t want to see people not buying dark souls because people have convinced them you need a controller for it.

We're saying it's a game designed for controllers though, which it is.

Oh, right, lots of people have huge hardons for that LotR mod, I never tried it personally since I'm not that big of a fan. :o I tried getting into F&S myself, didn't find any extensive cool mods and dropped it. Maybe I should give it a try again. If you find any cool mods for this (...or test any of the Roman Warband mods and like one) I'd love it if you'd PM me about it. =D

I would never ever buy a Indie-Game outside of a bundle for more than 3-5$ I got binding of Isaac + DLC for under 4$ and clocked almost twice as much time than i played skyrim (~60h) and d3 (~100h) together. I actually bought a random merchandise doll, because i know that edmund or his wife get almost 100% of that money.
