Not saying they're OP now, just being wistful. No, I don't remember when Zerg was nearly as bad as Terran is now... I remember Fruitdealer winning a GSL and IdrA winnings MLGs, etc, but not 3 foreign zergs in a ro32 of a tournament and not making top 13.

Dont go there if you want to watch the full final. Vods of all broadcasted matches, aswell as interviews by Lani & Megumi will be up over at http://www.youtube.com/user/IGNProLeague/videos aswell. Though Day4 isnt uploaded yet atm, but should be soon-ish.

And I dont think it has the spirit of what a Grand final should be. That you keep talking in terms of double elim, sure. As above, Im not talking in terms of double elim. Im not saying Leenock doesnt deserve to be champion, Im saying Grand final that include earlier games I dont agree with at all. It technically didn't include the earlier games... because both series started from scratch. Yes, you aren't talking in terms of double elimination but it IS a double elimination tournament. -_-

For the record though, Fruitdealer won the first GSL because everyone was TEEEEERRIBLE and IdrA won against a bunch of foreigners when he was one of the top 10 players in the world. I never thought it was that bad really but I also don't think it's that bad now.

Technically the semi-finals were a bo5. Winners final was a semi-final bo5 which Leenock won 3-1 over Violet. Losers final Violet beats Polt 3-2 which is arguably another semi-final. Your bitching and moaning about double elimination tournaments. Unfortunately every player coming from the winners bracket is going to have some sort of advantage because like I just said. It's a double elimination tournament and all formats are different. Whether it be a best of seven with the winner up a game, extended series (ewwww), winning two best of series (2 bo3's, 2 bo5s or in this case 1 bo5 and a bo3). Look, I'm not a big fan of double elimination either. It can make for very anti-climatic series. If I had it my way once you lost a set you'd be out. I'm very old school in that regard and it makes for better television. That's why we still have group play.

Very, very good tournament. GOM production was so good. I don't think there has been a multiple days LAN tournament with a this good production quality yet.
