Do you have just the blank template? I wouldn't mind trying to make my own silly overlay

That double layer is perfect. Thank you!

i think they are a little too busy.. alot of details that isnt very pleasant for the eye. also, i dont care much for the starcraft-font.. if you use it, try to make it work with the background and dont use too strong colors.

I went with Foreground and Background contrast, no point blending the front and back when the game screen will always be of major difference.
I chose rather neutral colours like Red Blue and Pink. as for the ones that have been done for Pughy and co they were constructed from several hours of reworks and predetermined specifications.
I do agree they are pretty busy though.

Whats the difference between the 2?

I made a lulzy one that I wont actually use but it was still fun to make I will use a different and better one once I get it made for hots, since HotS has a slightly different UI than WoL I'll have to modify this template a bit first.
Here's my lulzy one

dude. what? you should totally use that one ^
|
one is single layer, thus you can skin a foreground only.
The second is double layer of Foreground and background.
I have a template for HoTs

Haha well I like the idea of the starcrafts infestor and lings, and maybe even the name over zerg logo (but probably with a better font once I have time to look through and find one I like) but I will definitely spend a lot more time working on the main overlay instead of just some random colors and editing haha. I'm not good at art type things though so it will probably only be a slight improvement And like I said, I'd have to make a few changes for HotS (which is what I'd be playing)

I would love to see some tutorials on this!
|
What sort of tutorial are you after a full blown from start to finish or just using the template?
|
Using the template. It would be nice to see an overlay tutorial as well though.
|
Really nice templates although I am a big fan of minimalist stuff myself. Some tutorials would be super on how to use the template in something like Photoshop!

The most shameless plug i think I've ever seen with a hint of thread crapping.
If people wanted your software surely they would already have it and thus not need to be looking at this thread?
What I don't appreciate is criticism purely so you can plug your own software.
Moving on yeah i'll get a tutorial done for you some time today.

The most shameless plug i think I've ever seen with a hint of thread crapping. Why? That tool allows to use all those overlays not only for stream, but also for ingame too. Meaning that you can see YOUR overlay too, not only stream viewers.
If people wanted your software surely they would already have it and thus not need to be looking at this thread? This program just places picture over all windows. Any picture, including your overlays or any other. You posted some skins, I've posted a tool, that allows to use your and other skins more variety.
What I don't appreciate is criticism purely so you can plug your own software.
I just made suggestion to draw something nice instead placing one-textured things, that aren't really nice. Look at many deviantArt works, they're not mine, but they're epic and great.

You should try draw something cool too instead doing boring one-textured interfaces. Now default ingame UI looks better than your skins. Look above what people can do and try to reach their skills
