Saying "nigger" doesn't make you a racist. It's a racist word, but it doesn't make you racist when you say it, especially over the internet when you have no fucking idea who you're talking to.

If you're watching a sunset, look at the horizon JUST as the sun dips below it, an image of an idra appears.
Protip: Look away from the sun and try to calculate when it will dip below the horizon for the best effect. This is because starting at the sun before it sets will blind you.

Fucking deep man.
I think...I think that on some other level we're all IdrA. And IdrA is us. Sometimes...for a split second I just feel some sort of frustration. I don't know where it comes from. I don't know what it is. It seems to come and pass, just for an instance.
But now...now I think I understand. It's some high masters player cannon rushing on ladder. Some low GM going for a 3 base all-in to kill Greg before Hive.
Suddenly, my world makes a lot more sense. Greg is selflessly suffering for out cheese and for that we are eternally thankful. 5/5

I hate the use of the word "nigger". Why are you using it anyhow? I find it incredibly offensive to call someone a "nigger". For me it just seems as though you're mad at the PvP cheeser and the stolen bike, and you watched Idra rage and felt related to him.
Edit: I don't see how Idra is us when he's mad and we're mad. I don't understand your definition of Idra. Interpreting Idra as a representation of our anger and life's injustice is just pushing it way WAY to far... I mean he's playing a video game on a computer. Getting mad at a game is nowhere near getting mad at a thief stealing a bike. I'm confused

You make a point, in that we can't let fear of the word stop us from discussing it. It's a weak point though, given the strong emotional and historical negative connotations around it. Probably harder for those of us not from the States to understand why it's so offensive.
However, you voided any point you made when you used it as an insult. You're not trying to discuss it, you're using it in the way which evokes all the bad memories/feelings that come with it. I'd be slightly more careful slinging the word around if I were you. Just some friendly advice ^^v
Edit: Tense and grammar

It's actually a quite unique relationship, now that you bring it up, with how a majority of people who follow the scene who will always know him as the eponymous, "Greg". I think you're right, there is a part of him in us, some of it rage, some of it our humanity (I think we've all missed a few high-fives throughout life), and Idra shows a bit of all of that through his stream, even if only a little bit.
I wouldn't go so far as to say Idra is a perfect avatar for frustration, but a lot of what you brought up rings true, and I think it's worth reflecting on for a bit. Very nice read, thanks for sharing.

Who is IdrA? cleverest foreigner progamer if you ask me. You either love him or hate him, but once you've heard about him, it's very hard to remain ambivalent about him. There's many mild-mannered/polite pros that get a lot of fair-weather fans, i.e. lots of fans when they burst onto the scene with good results, that move on to supporting the next up-and-coming star... But IdrA, even if he puts out bad results, people still care because some people WANT him to lose. Drama follows him everywhere he goes.

it´s all up to the individual to decide what´s racist (A term that has shifted meaning on such a grand scale to incorporate a wide array of meanings that it´s more valid then the scientific term)
Dat anarchy grammar

Thats why it's bm, buddy. Should we call you a lovely person then if we bm you? No, we should actually call you the most offensive thing we can imagine. Because thats actually really bad mannered.
