I'm not seeing much that puts it in the mech sim line other than the fact that it includes robots. I have a very limited experience with Gundams, however, what I do know is that they are more humanoid looking suits that are not directly controlled from a cockpit (I think?) and fight much like humans would in a way, if you know what I mean. This is more of actual battlesuits that we may see in a "realistic" scenario. Simple robots, with a cockpit. I'd compare it more of to a first person, slower paced Armored Core over a Gundam, honestly.
whatever a gundam is, i dont know, but the mechs in this game certainly dont move like the original mechs, who have more powerful weapons, but are very limited in their movement.

I don't know what you mean at all...?
As I said, it looks like a slower paced, first person Armored Core. Less over the top and a bit more realistic in a scenario if we began to use "Mech Warfare" in the far future. Hell, why does it have to be "like" anything and be its own style?

They are mechs, not gundams. Gundams are also mechs, but not all mechs are gundams.
Gundams are exclusively from the gundam series mech anime shows (and related games), period.
Gundams are piloted inside a cockpit, but the control interfaces vary from show to show, including one where they control it via a skintight motion capture suit, but that is an exception to the norm.
The whole point of the game is to give faster paced combat while still making the mechs feel heavy and large. They felt that games like Armored Core were too fast paced and didn't feel like mechs, but that the mechwarrior games were too slow and difficult to control that the game lost a lot, so they came up with this combat to try to keep the slow moving heavy mech feel with a faster paced combat.

Right, this is what I meant. Coming from games like MW and (to a lesser extent) Steel Battalion, I don't think those things feel slow moving or heavy at all. That doesn't mean the game is bad, but it does stop me thinking of it as a real heir to the 'Mech sim lineage. I don't even think that's what they're trying to achieve.

Looks cool I wonder if there is any other new information available for this game, I almost forgot about it.

Thanks for the update BentoBox.
This is pretty much the first fast-paced mech game for PC (at least that I've heard of) — ie. armored core clone. I've been wanting a game like this for a long time.
Heavy gear was close, but it's more of a hybrid, still quite similar to mechwarrior.
Overall, It migt not completely meet my desires from what I had heard of this game, but it should still be good.
