Is that so weird? Just for reference, don't admin Playhem anymore. I did about a year ago, but haven't since maybe July 2011 Your best bet is to talk to Luka or Ben from Playhem.
Wait, why did I see then a Frodan in the EU Playhem channel shout out "I'm an admin". Am I going crazy, or was it just someone other than you?

Ye im not sure, maybe FrodaN and ingame Frodan are two different persons? Frodan said he was head admin.
|
people use each other's accounts all the time and maybe playhem bought brodan's eu account and now they're using it to admin without namechange
|
Frodan used to be caster for playhem but he gave his EU account to the (north american) playhem admins when he left for NASL. This is the story of the Frodan EU account, more news at 11 :-)
|
how long do playhem dailies run for? 2hrs? 3hrs? 4hrs? (I'm thinking of EU since the NA playhem is at a weird time for me)

I came to ask the same thing. The Playhem Twitch.tv account doesn't seem to load for me. It's been that way for the last few months, too. I really enjoyed watching these every night, and I wish I could watch them again.

Im writing this as an open letter to the Daily, also sending it to the moderators on the site.
The content below will be regarding this game: This Game and 1. The lack of rules for Threats, BM. 2. The importance of moderators staying to facts, not who is GM/M/Dia.
Yesterday I played in the tournament and got in a situation which became very strange due to it being an online tournament. I was supposed to play against Verdi, a GM-Toss in the round of 4. After my third game was finished, I went to the toilet for 2 minutes and came back to the computer. I was going to upload the replay of my last game to the site when Verdi wrote me and said that we were going to play. However, I did not know my next opponent and told him to relax for a minute so that I could upload the replay and confirm him as my next opponent. However, I joined his game-invite and told him to stay calm. He starts writing a lot of BM in chat.
He then randomly started the game, I instantly paused after 1 second. Here he stats threatening me in game chat (see replay) and I tell him to wait for me to speak to the moderators.
What happends is he tells the moderators I have not shown up for half an hour (which there is solid evidence is a straight up lie due to my matchhistory) and I the moderator starts telling me I cant waste the players time by not showing up (in other words, instantly buying the history of him).
It ends up with me sending the replay with Verdi BM-ing me, copying in what he tells me and also me pointing out that it is straight up impossible for his story to be true since I was playing my first game when he was supposed to have "contacted me".
I went to the website of the Daily to be suprised there are not any general rules about those kind of things. Lying, Theatening, just to realize there are no general rules about it. The moderator for the day also said "Just play the game, he is a semi-pro, it is good practice for you".
My point is that this kind of behaviour should never be accepted in tournament play. In a real life tournament, the player had been suspended instantly. If he is a semi-pro or a Bronze League-Hero should not matter at all.
I strongly suggest that the Playhem adds rules about BM, Threats, Lies and likes so that in situations like this it is easier to DQ a player then it was yesterday, with the moderator and me realising there aint any rules against him lying and saying a lot of BM. A player acting like Verdi did yesterday is not good for the community, being a GM-or not and wont bring any joy to a tournament while behaving like he did.

Tbh, when i look @ the match history of a potential opponent and see he won game 3 in the previous round, i expect him to reply with " okay give me two minutes for a bathroom break, please invite me to the game." Clearly he understands your his opponent and you shouldn't have gone the 15 year old way by *following strict code* and waiting to send in the replays.
I'd consider it to be more bm what you did to him than him to you.
Don't go to the bathroom for 2 minutes, then attempt to upload. Upload, tell him you'll be right back, and then get on with the games. Don't throw a fit because someone got angry with you for doing something rather inconveient.

this man is right (although verdi is a certified douchebag), you have no idea how annoying it is to play against several people in a tournament (who you will almost certainly beat easily) and each one of them has something to do that ends up wasting more of your time.

I have had same story with other semi pros. It is no secret that they threat more known players over unknown players, even going as far as bending rules in their likes even if you might be right. I don't think there's much to do about it since it's their tournament and they can do whatever they want I guess...

When is GSL whirlwind going to be removed? The map clearly favors zerg, allins are much harder to stop because of the supply depot making the ramp huge with 2 weak spots (pylon and supply depot), while at the same time it's almost impossible to stop a roach max thanks to the 3rd being so wide open. Tastosis themselves mentioned in one of their recent casts how most often Protosses do some wacky 2 base allin on it in pvz.
Could you please move it down at least to a lower round, it's so incredibly annoying having to always meet gm patchzergs on it 90% of the time I play in it. I'm sure by far the majority of other high level players will agree with me.
