I fear that if KeSPA decides to play dirty too, GOM might be done for They've done this because KeSPA decided to play dirty by not participating in the GSL. Obviously its not fair if the OSL are making money from the ESF vs KeSPA player storyline, while GOM gets nothing. If GOM wants to stay competitive it's probably the right move or they risk being pushed out, but at the same time unless they both agree to stop this nonsense and allow players to participate in both leagues then things will just escalate and get even more out of hand. I don't know if things can get better from this though, its the second time that KeSPA has tried to screw GOM over so they're unlikely to ever trust them again now. Fucking hell KeSPA you greedy snakes, why couldn't you have paid more attention to MVP's speech at the group selection.

I feel like its important to show kespa this isn't broodwar and they have to be careful with every step they make. I'm not really into that "player-suppression" anyway... Gogo Commander Stork, save the day! *_*

Personally I like it, little brother is shoving back. Also it's a bloody best of 1 tournament (doesn't matter that later stages are not) so I don't think losing this OSL tournament is much of a loss.

That fact might be worth being added to the OP, since ESF players are often called "gom players" or "GSL players". But this decision was not done by GOM, but by the teams in the ESF. So no matter whether you like it or hate it, agree or disagree, dont blame GOM for it. (If theres any factual error in this, please tell me and I'll remove it) Won't matter to KESPA at the least if you make the distinction between them. They want this to happen even if it is just one group of players and not GOM making the decision.

this move should have been done LONG AGO if anything. kespa are the douches if you guys don't see that. what they're essentially trying to do with not merging with non kespa players is have their players catch up and keep the reign that they had in bw without showing that their players are weaker than GSL players in sc2. THAT HURTS EVERYONE. why? because kespa players can't catch up quicker. the more they play against people currently better than they are, the quicker they catch up. along with the fact GSL players don't see another side of a pure style of game that they lack. not to mention EVERYONE wants to see the kespa best vs the sc2 best, and it would completely bring unity to the sc community but they don't' want that happening cause they're to prideful.

Is this some sort of comeback to Kespa for pulling out of GSL?

I'm glad they are taking a stance and not letting Kespa run the show like they did in BW.

Meaning Kespa already leads in Korea, how long GOM will live by foreign votes? What are they risking though? Kespa fucked GOM, so ESF fucked Kespa. Considering ESF has been basically supported by the regular paycheck of GSL, the move makes sense. Mr. Chae (and Artosis on a few SOTGs) has gone on record multiple times saying GSL was basically there to fund teams until they could get real sponsors with Code A and Code S paychecks. What happened was Kespa threw a jab at GOM, and ESF stepped in to tackle them to the ground. Now Kespa has figure out how they're going to get standing again. Can you tell me what they're risking? Especially when Korean fans are uniformly with the ESF decision?
