It's sad, but for the moment, only Blizzard-GOM organized tournament (WCS) has been able to show that this transition would be an amazing thing for SC2 (though that it's based on the end of BW, which is sad...). And it was a qualifier... The logical follow-up would've been great tournaments like GSL and OSL, but NOPE, Kespa said no. It might hurt Kespa, but GOM will be fine as from what I read korean fans (that watch GSL players anyway) agree with their decision as it's been fairly positive someone said. I dont think thats a reality, if GOM(ESF) risks that much, it means they are threatened already by Kespa players reputation in Korea. Meaning Kespa already leads in Korea, how long GOM will live by foreign votes?

Nothing, Gom can just be happy that the players which had a breakthrough via their league are supporting them now. This isn't even a Gom move, but a players move.

That fact might be worth being added to the OP, since ESF players are often called "gom players" or "GSL players". But this decision was not done by GOM, but by the teams in the ESF. So no matter whether you like it or hate it, agree or disagree, dont blame GOM for it. (If theres any factual error in this, please tell me and I'll remove it) you are 100% correct. GOM is only being "used" by ESF. And I'm not saying in a negative way, Kespa, once again, uses their monopoly thinking and forbidding their players to attend GOM which pissed ESF off. and that's the only role GOM has in this conflict.

Like viewers not watching any kespa tournament etc. Can't speak for anyone else but I will not be watching it on principle. However I have nothing against the players themselves so will still be following them at MLG and WCS
