Oz isn't listed there only because he wasn't in Korea to be in the conference. Choya is doing damage control because people think Oz bailed on everyone by staying in OSL.
Also the bottom of the article states e-Sports Federation Players Representative Nestea. That's pretty awesome. not sure if legit, but it might shed some light on why Oz is still in
Wolf tweeted that Fnatic is not on ESF.
ESF's reaction looks like one of the most effective SCV-pulls I've seen.

I think it's good that ESF takes action and not just sit there. Really cool to see by ESF

This may end up killing SC2 completely in Korea
|
Deciding not to join the next league is really bad, but pulling out in the middle of the league is a dick move. GOM cant just say Fuck You this loud lol. I fear that if KeSPA decides to play dirty too, GOM might be done for

the alternative is that we see kespa players in gsl next season when kespa believes they stand a chance
sucks for the kespa players but it's better for the scene

Hold on, let me work on the translation if I can.

Lol, Kespa and Gom are such babies. Get your shit togheter!
|
hahaha Korean E-sports drama is the BEST. Get beer and popcorn guys, I predict some epic days of angry Koreans raging at how their organization is better.
Props to ESF, let Kespa know they can't screw every1 over like they did in BW.
|
This could decide SC2's future in Korea as an esport. If it fails you can pretty much say goodbye to SC2 ever getting huge in Korea. Pretty huge decision
|
this is really favoring ESF tho, since basically every one including kespa players AND blizzard dislikes kespa rofl.... this makes it almost certain kespa will come to terms and agreement unless kespa actually is retarded.
|
I'm normally not for the "eye for an eye" thing as I think it's equally low of the retaliating party. However since it is KeSPA they are retaliating against, then more power to the ESF.
Although I'm starting to think that esports (and the Korean StarCraft scene), would hurt from this.
|
I LOVE this decision, but hope its not bad.
League is already huge in Korea, and i felt KESPA type stuff (in conjunction with GOM) would help raise the popularity of sc2 -- especially with hots on the horizon.
Kespa is pulling the same bullshit they pulled in sc1 in trying to control their players and what their players DECIDE to do.
I like how gom handles things (internationally esp) and i hope this either kicks kespa into getting sht sorted out, or ends kespa and lets the players go someplace else....
|
God dammit. This is not cool.. D:

Is there a liquidpedia article about this "ESF" where I can learn form ? I can't find it. Thanks.
|
Fuck KeSPA, seriously they need to let their PLAYERS decide what tournaments they go to.
I know some of KeSPA players are going to be busy, but come on.. not ALL KeSPA players will be too busy to at least try and qualify for code A, it's the blanket carpet bombing style ban that is disgraceful from KeSPA.
Let's be honest, these tactics from KeSPA are an effort to get all of the famous players in a tournament that ISN'T GSL.
I'm sure they had ideas such as - "The ONLY place to see all of the best players in the world"
The OSL feat. Flash, JD, MVP and MKP., where else can you see all of these players??
So glad to see GSL/ESF telling KeSPA to go suck it.

I can't even put into words how insane this is, I can't believe they are pulling out after the ODT and after the group selection ceremony.
Can they even do that? Aren't there contracts since It's on TV?

Start the bullshit machine.
|
So ESF have some leverage, this is good and will hopefully result in better things for everyone.

No it won't. It might hurt Kespa, but GOM will be fine as from what I read korean fans (that watch GSL players anyway) agree with their decision as it's been fairly positive someone said.
