Haha and he's got dreamhack this weekend. Just flew to Korea for one match and stayed 2-3days? And after dreamhack straight back to Korea haha.

It's been years and most foreign players still can't defend simple all-ins/timings from Koreans.

not vs proxy 2 gate into cannon rush into mass void rays (na ladder) or some pro-used cheese with the timings off by 2-3 minutes. thats where teh bad impression of cheese comes from (and also why that opinion is prevalent in the west not the east)

I'm so angry at Squirtle for losing to Keen TT Thorzain could have qualified vs Keen (more chance than vs Squirtle at least)
|
T_T thorzain. at least he took a set and doesnt drop to ro48 :D
|
Squirtle has some interesting builds and is not so predictable. He's fun to watch even tho I don't like watching Protoss playing in general.
Thorzain and Gumiho's 3rd game again proved how awesome Starcraft 2 can be. I wish other terran match ups were as fun to watch and play.

Don't make us whip out that "deal with it" gif again...
You know, I'd really love to see a version of that gif that says something like "2rax" or "11/11" at the end, instead of the usual

Nice call on the poll TL :D
gogogo squirtle! The ID is really unfortunate because of the unending pokemon references and the fact that squirtle is the lowest evolution and what have you lol, so it's a bit awkward to say whether he will evolve, yada yada. But anyway always good to see toss move on >:D

fell asleep after squirtle keen game 1
I feel like I missed something amazing.
edit: grats to thorzain for not getting 4th in the group, that's about as good as you could expect with flying into Korea a day ago.

thorzain and gumiho!!! no!!!
T_T
oh well at least squirtle advanced!
wow beating gumiho 2-1 is impressive! esp since gumiho was able to beat MVP last or the one before last season

Or two rax that fall onto the eyes instead of sunglasses!
On topic, shame thorzain didn't qualify ;_; I had a feeling he wouldn't given his opponents, but it's excusable, he's been in korea for what, two or three days now? And now he's going to dreamhack right after...
Hope he does better next season!

If he plays a Terran who also just turtles and doesn't harass, it ends up being pretty boring because he just rolls over the Terran without much of a fight. His HT usage really is a beauty though.
Overall, I enjoy watching Parting, HerO, and JYP (sometimes Ace when he is on fire, his PvZ was fun, but idk if he can replicate that) over MC, Squirtle, Naniwa, and Creator. Genius is fun to watch when he doesn't die while doing weird shit.
Squirtle's PvZ is pretty nice too once he gets into late-game mode. His mothership control and use is probably the best I've seen so far.
Oz's PvP is hilarious when he mindgames himself into losing, lol. hahahahaha quoted for truth!

Thorzain won a set so I guess he did better than most of us expected. I'd like to see him come to Code S again through Code A

Here are a few: Naniwa, MC, Parting, Genius, Hero, Creator
Please give us some helpful statistics.
Naniwa - two base collosus all in, turtle until deahtball MC - huge variety of gateway all in's, stargate build/all in's and will turtle until deathball too. Parting - Gateway all in or turtle until deathball Genius - Does all sort of wacky shit. Hero - Turtle until death ball (used to do a lot more other stuff when he sucked PvT six months ago). Creator - Turtle until death ball. Of those players I'd say only MC has more variety in their PvT than Squirtle. I feel like you're underselling Parting's style, its probably slightly worse that Squirtle, but only just, and its far far more entertaining, fast storm play is hella fun to watch, and looks broken as fuck when done right, which is how all the best strategies should look.
I think Parting is better than Squirtle at PvT, but no doubt Squirtle plays a greater variety of styles/builds in the matchup, which was the original point.

The korean ladder has pyschotic levels of cheese from my experience. I swear at least 1/2 the PvP's I play my opponent does DT builds.

I will honour you for trying to reply that question but I think you understood youself how impossible it is to say. Yesterday we probably saw 4 different bilds from Naniwa. Do you remember those DT's? I have seen Naniwa go blink stalker with scout plenty of times. And blink stalker use is different different maps and race so there are variations. Naniwa himself probably have 10-15 different builds he can use, depending on opponent, map and race and the other guys have it as well. Sometimes they cheeze, dont you count that? What about prism drop play? Nobody use the immortal 2 base all in? I think we see stargate play often. It is a redicolous way to try to say who has more builds than the others that is my point.

We're only talking about PvT here.
Everyone does every build in PvP.
Obviously none of those players do the style I listed in 100% of games but on a game to game basis Squirtle is a far, far more unpredictable and versatile player than Naniwa and most other Protoss's are in PvT except MC.

Offtopic: I read your posts yesterday and today. You write well and like that but you are too strong in your opinions. When you get older you will learn that everything is not black and white and you will be more humble. I know that you will learn because I can see that you you are quite intelligent.
