youre crazy. the problem is that thousands exploited the shit out of the game for weeks. be it rarechests, goblins, aspect or whatever.
the regular droprates are shit. i get an average of 6 rares in a ~35minute kulle/belial run (6-9 elite packs killed) with half of them beeing level 50 crap.
and no one cares about blues cause 99% of them are crap. and even more will be crap once more people realize naked high dps weapons suck.

Currently streaming 5 NV Stack siegebreaker runs @ http://www.twitch.tv/theskencrypt
I can't wait until the game gets a bit further in and people start experimenting because theres going to be a lot of cool unorthodox builds!
Just so far seeing the almost DH like build for the weapon throw build and people using LoH with sprint tornados makes me want to try them lol but I'm waiting until I've geared my current serious spec sufficiently before I experiment.

Exactly.
Blizzard keeps patching these runs, but the damage has already been done. People have already made their millions, which is why they need a reset of some kind.

Way too soon for that. You can't simply reset the game less than a month after release because you screwed up, this isn't beta. Hardly anyone has even cleared Inferno, even with the fact that gear from later acts are much more common than they should have been because of the "exploits". Plus there are still some issues that need adressing, some changes they promised in the next big patch. You would need at least some time to see how those changes affect the game before a ladder reset. We also need to see if diferent builds are actually viable and if other issues arise with top end gear, but basically noone has top end gear yet.
I do think resets may be needed, despite Blizzard stating they don't want to do them, but definatelly not soon. If exploits made the game easier, and it's still far from done. You need to "let the season end" first, test the game out almost fully, so you don't have to make huge changes to it in the next season as well. I think any reset before or recently after the PvP patch is too soon.
The issue right now is mainly about fairness, that some people got ahead of the others with the exploits. Maybe it's just me, but I don't really care that much about fairness in a Diablo game. If I did, I don't think I would have rolled a Barb. The problem is that this unfairness leads to real money, but Blizzard should have seen this coming.

More DPS? But if I build that way my resistances inevitably turn to crap and I just die every time the 50 trash horde surrounds me

you can drop your res to 700, after 700 you get extreme amounts of diminishing returns.
700 = 70% , 1200 = 78%
you really need a lot of hp, check out my stream, I have less resists than you and about 4k less damage but close to double your hp and 2 attacks per second.
I farm 5 NV Siegebreaker pretty comfortably, only time I really die is when you get like the tongue mobs with molten, desecration plague all in one go, but even then after a couple of deaths they die.

Takes me about 20min per "run"(60 slots of inventory), usually has at least 1 item worth 500k+ and numerous 100k ones, etc. Also get like 50k in gold during that time from the loot and the quest reward Its also stupidly easy for a Barb who specs for it. Even in A1 capable gear, you can farm Iskatu pretty consistently. Can you explain what spec you need for it then? I can farm A1 really easily, but Iskatu blows me up; I cleave + rupture the adds while going beserk + EQ + ignore pain, but he doesn't even lose half his health and I die with 2 attacks after my cooldowns are gone. I have ~9k dps without beserk and ~500 resist, 35k hp I haven't run Iskatu that much so I'm not particularly optimized but this is the build I was using. I think a bit of health globe pick up radius (I was using +12) is needed to do it consistently as it's the primary source of your healing. I've got Revenge in the build but I hardly use it anyway, so Leap with Iron Impact or Battle Rage should be better in that slot.
For gear, I've been using 10k dps @1.4 aspd, 9500 armor, 850 resists, 50k hp, 22% melee damage reduction, 20% block on a ilvl 62 shield (2800-3700 block amount): (screen shot is with War Cry and Enchantress buffs) + Show Spoiler +
For technique, I've been cleaving the minions until Iskatu shows up, then WotB -> Ignore Pain -> Earthquake (in that order, EQ is much less resposive / has a longer animation). Iskatu dies 1-2 seconds after Ignore Pain runs out and I don't move even to get out of Desecration.

Can anyone give me very rough estimates for how much I need to spend for Act 1 and Act 2? I'm wondering how much more I need to work my DH, poor girl...

still need more HP, I'm hitting about 76k HP, 14k dps (with full defensive passives, 36k damage with WOTB), 1.99 aspd and about 1.4k life regen per sec and I still sometimes die (700 res) If you have more questions drop by the stream because I'm having to alt-tab out all the time to make these posts lol
edit: btw I have 55 life on hit

Stacking HP does seem to work better than going for melee reduction and 1000+ resistances then?

Well think about it logically, would you rather have 40k HP with 78% (1200 res) or 80k+ Hp with 70% (700res)
I think the answer is obvious.

Well I was thinking of a more balanced stats scenario in which you have 50-55k hp and 1000-1050 resists with some melee DR% which you probably don't have since if you have that kind of HP you are likely not to have a stormshield or a string of ears.

My act 3 Nephalem stacking guide:
Get to Tyrael.
Get to an elite mob, die, go afk for 20min, revive and then loot the rare Tyrael killed.
Repeat 5 times, kill Siegebreaker

Goblin farming is billions times faster and nets you tons more gold than that -.-

Of course, this is for when you're busy with something else or just want to relax a little instead of playing intensively nonstop

Hey guys, thanks to your help I've recently beaten A1 Inferno. Before I move on to A2, I know that there's a lot of room for gear upgrading. Here's what I'm running now:
+ Show Spoiler +
These stats are with the War Cry buff for armor and resist on.
What should I be focus on upgrading first? Weapon, shield, armor, etc.
Thanks
