i've got 300 all resi :/
the biggest problem are the fireballs in p2, there's not enough space to hide or to keep distance like in p1.

There's plenty of space, you need to change it up to a much more defensive playstyle focusing on retreating. If you're not immediately running/teleporting away from Diablo when he comes at you, you're gonna end up eating a fireball at melee range and that's it.
I once started p2 with almost no health and did a lot better than normal just because I was constantly trying not to die rather than focusing on dealing damage - no health wells means you have to play it a little (or a lot) safer.

Just try to get into the habit of always running away from him, and as soon as he raises his arms to cast the fireball, if you don't think you can dodge it manually, just wormhole the fuck away from there, it's as simple as that. Fire resist is helpful, no point in arguing against that, but 95% of your "fire resist" consists of your own agility, not your damage reduction towards fire.

how in hell do you kill demon trasher elite packs in inferno??

I need some serious help.. I'm getting very frustrated because I can't proceed at all, no matter how many resets I do. (currently on Act 2 Inferno, just met up with Covetous Shen)
I've got 2.3 million to spend. I'm going to go all out now. Anyone share some light as to what stats or part of my gear do I need to improve? Will the 2.3 million I spend run me all the way thru Diablo in Act 4?
Here is my gear: http://i.imgur.com/TUtUw.jpg
Stats are: - 38k hp - 24k dps - 244 all res
Skill build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#alRQSO!YXd!cYbYZY
EDIT: I wonder if changing the sockets all to +34 Intelligence will be enough?

I feel like you have too much "fancy stuff" on your gear without having enough of the basics, like int/vit. Your boots are for a DH and ring for a barb. I'm pretty sure I picked up my 60int/15 IAS ring from a vendor so you could use that instead and sell the other one for a fair bit (I imagine). Yes it's nice to have +12% move/resist on boots but they have really low int and no vit. I'd imagine you could sell those, buy some 10-12% move boots with 80+ int/vit and have a good chunk of cash left over.
Also how much time do you get to nuke with MM vs. kiting? I feel like a lot of your DPS isn't being used optimally since a huge chunk of it is in IAS. Your DPS is very low considering how many IAS items you're running. I feel this is especially true in the sewers since you can't kite in a circle very well so enemies aren't running through the same pools as much. I also wonder if crystal shell might be more helpful than teleport+illusionist, although I use AO/hydra so I have room for both. Also it's not by build but check that others wtih MM are using AP since I feel it's less necessary.
And no way will 2.3mill get you act4 level gear, but once you get past act2 there are some good opportunities to make cash as you go.

I got a question for the Arcane Orb users. Is Increased Attack Speed from items a must? I'm using a 0.9 speed mace and I feel like it's hard to shoot and kite because the casting speed is so slow. That Belial video wizard a few pages back had 1.41 attack speed from a mace/axe. He had less Int than me but more dps too.
Also I've been trying to get resists up to 400-500 but there are a lot of people w/ just 200 resists. Are resists even necessary?

Attackspeed helps you kite as you said. I wouldn't want to run only 0.90 attacks per second.

Thanks. I actually had crystal shell before teleport and it didn't help me much since it shattered in 1-2 almost every time. I'm thinking of switching to AO/hydra build since I have the IAS already...
What is your build anyway? I wasn't sure how to do a build without Blizzard as my snaring method.
My attack speed right now is 1.25

i got fairly equal stats, a little more damage, a little less resistance and I think the damage is too low to go to act 2 or 3, you should probably have around 40k

Lol what?! How can I get 40k damage from where I am now... Pretty much a weapon that gives +100 int AND 1000+ damage? I guess I got too much HP, since it doesn't do me well even if I can survive hits but can't kill them anyway

For life regen to make sense, you need enough vit/armor/resistance to only have a chunk of your HP lost when attacked, then enough life regen to get it back up, which is quite a lot when you have over 30k HP. It's just not viable unless you have amazing gear.

So what is the number to aim for Resists? I am at a loss whether I should just keep pumping HP instead or resistance... It's hard to have both running well at times.

Of course you're kiting as much as possible, but taking 3-4 hits to actually die means you can do it a lot easier and more effectively vs ranged enemies or anything that gets an occasional hit on you.
500-600 all res seems pretty good so far. There's quite a few enemies that don't trigger my force armor - but they're not what I'm really worried about, because the heavy dangerous hitters still do.

It's hard to have both running well at times. I don't know myself. I have about 30k HP and 250 +allres, which is enough to not get oneshotted when doing seigebreaker runs. To do the same in Act 4, I'd say 40k HP and 400 +allres will be what you need, enemies really hit insanely hard. This is of course with force armor, without it, you'd probably need at least +800 allres, not sure if it's even viable in act 4 to not run force armor.

What is the calculation with the relation of DPS and the primary stat bonus?
I'm having a hard time getting a new weapon... Should I just go pure DPS, or high primary stat weapon?
