You should be ready to change from "Kill everything in 10 sec" to "Tank the shit out of everything with half the DPS of hell difficulty" :D

Screen shot of stats (presumably including crit buffs from Overpower and Revenge) with 383k peak dps, slightly different from the above boss build: + Show Spoiler + Twitch.tv channel.

If anything, it feels like it's gotten worse because this cost me about 100 resall and also 3k or so hp, and also some damage. I guess I just have to farm Act 1 some more and buy better equipment. Probably getting resall back up to 800 or something together with more block% that I now have should make it a bit better. It is the hard balance. When you have All Res, Vit, Str, Block, Melee and Range Reductions.

However, look into Kymbo's Gold(Doesn't need good roll, just over 250 life on hit) and String of Ears Goldskin is worth investing in as well, IMO. It's not going to last you as long as either Kymbo's or String, but the cheapest ones go for less than 100k. Even after you've replaced it, it's still also good as part of an MF set.

I just sacrificed 80 resist for a further 10k hp and 1.5k dps. Was a mistake i guess... 42k hp, 10k dps, 500 LoH, 9k armor, 400-500 resists, 18% melee dmg reduction fully buffed atm (armor/resist shout, +25% damage on 100% fury). Maybe i'm just lacking skill. I think i'll wait for a barb patch and get my WD to 60... We will be buffed/changed somehow that's for sure if they really want all classes equally able to make it through inferno. I also feel forced into that loltank build. The thing that sucks the most though is, that as a barb i basically got a delayed start considering farming money and items. You cannot patch that away.

I believe Barbarian is the only class that's progressing through Inferno at the rate Blizzard intended. This means that it's very possible that things will stay the way they are for us, and they'll nerf the other classes. On June 01 2012 07:21 r00ty wrote: I also feel forced into that loltank build. There are plenty of advantages to the Seismic Slam/Weapon Throw builds. It's probably even debatable that the only reason tank builds became the "default" way to play is because Kripparian did so, and he's the highest profile Barb player.

Just got a 19% block, 35 physical resist, 27 all resists, 11% life shield for 70k. It's not a godly shield by all means, but 70k is nothing, and I lacked a decent shield. Bumped my resists to 700, but I still need to work on vitality, only 30k HP.

Ye, i stumbled across the WT build a couple of days ago already and wanted to try it, spent all my resources on the tank stuff though and i think a good axe won't be the only thing you need to make it viable... Will have a closer look tomorrow but i am really a bit afraid of massive changes making all the money spent worthless. Well it will happen anyway sooner or later, i'm just really frustrated about the state of the game atm. Among my friends, the barbarian that made it the furthest uses a heavy res.all dagger/shield build with massive atk. speed and LoH which just seems so wrong! (i mean the dagger not the res.)

Im trying to get through act 3 and I really don't know what should I focus on Won't speak for him but it's likely the same type of gear/build everyone is currently using. I understand why people claim to have 'cleared' inferno, after all they likely beat all of the end bosses for each act. Therefor, they 'won'. It honestly doesn't take nearly as much gear to simply get a waypoint through some gimmick or corpse jumping and defeat the bosses. The bosses are generally the easiest part of the Act. I think most of the more active players in this discussion with above average gear could TP to diablo and beat him if they put in a little time. However, it is a nice goal if that's what you want to do.I'm kind of tired of seeing it. Every diablo discussion site (tl/reddit/d3 specific) are littered with posts "INFERNO CLEARED ON XYZ CLASS HERE IS HOW!" it's really not interesting to me in the slightest. I want to see players reliably and consistently crush through the acts, 5 NV Diablo runs, quickly and efficiently. I want to see how the real 'end game' is being handled, what's working best etc., I guess it's still exciting to some people as the game is still new but I don't consider beating diablo on inferno to be much of a feat. I know this sounds kind of QQ, I'm just way more interested in a less superficial 'beating' of the game. (I'm not accusing theSkEncrypt of doing what I'm complaining about just to be clear)

Doing 5NV runs quickly and efficiently should be the "goal", as clearly (if at all possible) it would be the most efficient way of farming top-end stuff. At least as far as i can see.

(I'm not accusing theSkEncrypt of doing what I'm complaining about just to be clear) Yep, I know exactly what you're saying, well I've been streaming the majority of the time I've been playing on Inferno solo and have spent many hours on every act wiping and wiping and wiping until I manage to adapt (by changing skill builds, items etc.) I always try to clear everything I come in contact with, I rarely skip anything and anyone who regularly watches my stream can vouch for that Also my gear isn'#t too standard, I have: 64k hp 70% all resist 70% armor 16% reduction from melee 17k DMG (unbuffed) alot of other barbs that I see soloing have incredibly low damage but I have pretty high attack speed due to weapon and rings, also running a near 1k dps 1H which I found myself, my gear also consists of a lot of pieces I crafted myself!

Thanks for posting that! I have a few questions. How much resist do u have to make it to 70%? (I know armor is ~10k) Do you have any + life on hit? And if you don't than why exactly is the attack speed important? thought only the average dmg matters. I assume the 16% reduction comes from a String of Ears belt? Do you recommend to spend money on % block or it aint that important? This helps so much man, thanks! Also would be happy to watch your stream pwning inferno :D
