The backdrop of rivalry and tension between StarTale and Prime since the now infamous GSTL in Las Vegas.
Potentially the last game of the day: Set 13. MarineKingPrime vs StarTale_AcE. It's a fight for 1st place in the group. A win for MKP not only advances him to Code S as 1st in his group, but keeps teammate---BBoongBBoongPrime---in the running for the second Code S spot. The loss would mean AcE might be facing a fight in a 3-way tie-break.
The game, advantage moving back and forth, passes the 20 minute mark. MKP moves his army into an advantageous position, but overextends, having not regrouped with his vikings. He loses too much for too little. MKP's face says it all as he realizes his defeat. His Code S spot is guaranteed, but his reaction shows how much he wanted to win; to keep BBoongBBoong alive in the group, potentially a fifth member of Prime in Code S.
The shots of BBoongBBoong anxiously watching the game. AcE's in-game ceremonies. And, after the gg, MKP and BBoongBBoong walking out together.

What a way to end the Up and Downs. What a way to start the 2012 GSL Season 3.
There has been so much going on with this rivalry, and I love how it carries over to the individual leagues. Startale has the most rediculous protoss lineup, but lets not forget about Bomber. Conversely, Prime has great terran players, but lets also not forget Creator. Both teams also have great Zergs in Curious and Boong.
I've been a follower of GSL since realease, and honestly I was never a huge Prime or Startale fan, though I've always been a fan of squirtle and ace. But now watching as a lot of the players have really developed more as well rounded dplayers, these teams are the most fun to watch (not counting liquid) at the moment in my opinion. Personally, I'm starting to become quite the Starale fanboy, maybe its from the hole OGS left in my heart TT
I found it really funny how Ace didn't know what to do for a few seconds while the camera was on him. MKP showed so much heart while he fought for his teammate.
