I was just talking to my screen saying "go back up the ramp.... go back up..... go backkkklkkk whyyyyyy" as he moved down, did some good damage had perfect FF... then he sat there and let the terran kill all but 1 sentry. Very unfortunate.
I really don't know what to make of it, I can only assume he doesn't play enough games. I think he's afraid to commit to going into seclusion and doing nothing but train because if he comes out and isn't any better it will mean something that he doesn't want to know.
But I honestly think thats what needs to be done. No more SOTG or ITG as much as I love them both and Incontrol is a huge part of why the talk shows are as great as they are, he needs ZERO distractions. He needs to play 8 hours a day, 7 days a week. Same with Nony. Its so frustrating because these guys clearly played tons of BW and practiced a lot to get to where they were in that game. And where they got to was near the highest level.... so we know they're more than capable. We know its there they just have to reach out and take it.
Or maybe not........but I hope that isn't the case. It's quite boggling when we see the success of some players who really don't practice hard at all (like Stephano, CrazymoviNG et al who only play for a few hours a day) do really well when there are players playing as much (probably more) than a full-time job that aren't nearly as good. I don't understand it at all. Not saying anyone is at fault, but maybe players need to look at how they're spending their time, or get more input from other progamers, or get a coach, or something, I'm not really sure. And I'm definitely not implying that Tyler practices a lot
Some people just have a natural born talent to do certain things in this world.

I am not an Incontrol fan but i think it is cool that he does post here as much as he does and it will be a sad day when pros (whether u like/hate them) feel that they need to stay away.
The one thing about gaming is that there tends to be closer interaction between the players and the fans than other competitions so it would suck if that changes.

I think its great he still posts here. But I wish he wouldn't be so defensive and take everything as an insult when really the majority of us are just disappointed fans.

DDE's actually really good. Last showmatch he did he crushed Sheth

DDE is the best Terran in Canada. He's incredibly good.

Now you're just being modest. :p
Have not seen your stream in ages. You have not quit the game, have you?

Yeah I said that too but also guys you have to still take the games themselves at face value. It doesn't matter who is playing when you watch and see a lot of mistakes and poor multitasking. Now my multitasking is pritty horrid. So if I was moving down a ramp with all my sentries + immortals I'm not about to engage, switch to my drop, and then come back to find it dead. I wouldve pushed down, did the dmg, and pulled back FF my ramp, then go to my drop..... If its still there d:
Inc<3 just talkin man not saying Im better, just saying..... not really sure what I'm saying its 5am and i keep waking up o_o

Ouch, that was brutal. DDE is good, no shame to lose to him. He always make me think of a lesser version of SeleCt.

here they come! THE FORUM GRANDMASTERS!!!
I really hope this is just a way for you to blow off some steam and not take the losses too seriously. Otherwise no good comes out of checking the forums after losing 0-4. Especially since you get so defensive.
I mean everyone knows you're practicing hard and that you're improving on paper and getting results. No shame in losing to DDE either, hes incredibly solid.
Also, not everyone whose critical is a hater, most of the time they just care.

Thats really bad. It doesnt matter if you are winning or losing. You cant go into a game thinking about what forum posters are talking about you.
I hope Incontrol does well next time.

And guys whiteout that Talent shouldn't try to become a pro sportsman... Because in like 99.999999999% "hard work" won't do the trick when you need to beat the top 0.00~1% on a regular basis (how many digits behind the 0 depends on the sport you pick )...

Incontrol cares why too much about what other people say about him. Just go watch the replay or check the BO of your opponent between the matches, but do not go to the TL forums and read the haters.
Don't tell everyone how much you improved lately either. Train harder, win games. Then it's time to brag.

Better luck next time Geoff, well played DDE.
Yes I am an Incontrol fan, results or not it is how he feels he played that counts :D
<3 Much love to both competitors.

I knew who was going to win - but I never predicted a 4:0.
GG DDE, an under-rated player for sure.
It really is one of the mysterys of E-sports - how you can maintain a player role on EG, America's premier team, with repeated results like this.

It is far from a mystery. His community involvement makes him worth more to EG than he's probably getting paid, SirScoots has said that.
It's Lz that's a mystery to me.
edit: I'm an Axslav fan so I'm probably salty

I really don't wan't to be that guy, but could you point me to any event where inControl has finished at least decently enough to mention since you seem to follow him a lot more than I do, and I enjoy watching DDE's games since imo he's one of the top tier NA's and inControl for me is a no-name but I know a lot of ppl listen to his shows and whatnot, but I kinda just follow players and tournaments and don't care about amateur webcasts :p

I guess he wasnt talking out of his ass.
I love Incontrol, but he simply isnt good enough. Time to stop the progaming and focus on casting etc.

Giving critisism does not make you a hater, nor should it. I thought these forums were made to discus games between people. You get 0-4 in a showmatch or any type of set/match, you will get critisism people should stop calling others haters just because you think a player should have done X or Y, it's just what people like to do. It's human nature.
Calling him bad, rude, or having zero game retardness opinions is "hating".
Anyway i do agree with the fact that reading a forum after a lost game might not be the best way to get ready for your next one. Grats to DDE his play is very good atm no shame in losing to one of the best north american terrans. Best of luck next match Incontrol.
