Hello TeamLiquid!
Since this is my first blog ever I thought it would be a good idea to start with a introduction of myself.
My name is Flowne (on TL) also know as MileyCyrus.377 (SC2 EU) on StarCraft. I'm 16 year old so I'm kind of young compared a good majority of frequent TeamLiquid users.
I started playing SC2 in the summer when it got released. I was visiting a friend in the UK and he told me to buy it because it was (and I quote) "the most kick-ass game on the planet!" So I bought SC2 and I started playing it (captain obvious else I wouldn't make this blog). After a few weeks of playing I reached Platinum League, I was really motivated. I loved being Platinum because all my other friends were still in Bronze.
After a few weeks being Platinum I started to dislike SC2 and I started slacking on it. By that time all my friends quit playing as well. A few weeks later I got back in the game again and I made myself drop to Bronze to start all over again (to get back in "shape"). I got Platinum again and then I dropped myself AGAIN to Bronze just for the fun. Somehow I never really loved Platinum League. I hated playing 110% all the time. Now I don't mind it since I love it, but back then I didn't for some reason.
I still do this dropping from Platinum to Bronze, because I don't know what else to do.. At the moment I'm working my way up again cause I want to aim for Diamond!
Still it feels like I'm missing something in SC2. I hate to admit it but I feel kind of friendless in the game. I've got no friends to play Mods with or 2v2 'sadface'.
I thought this could help me, a blog on TL and that you guys might have some suggestions for me to get back into SC2 and enjoy it to it's fullest.
Please leave suggestions on how I can make SC2 more enjoyable for myself!

Welcome, and goodluck with finding friends. I'm on NA so that's a no go.

|
Thanks <3 altho I'm not necessarily looking for practice partners
|
Finding friends on Sc2 : -Find a pro player you love to see playing => start chatting on his chat => Find nice people => Ask their league => they are in the same league as you ! => success ! => they are not in the same league as you => repeat -Play ladder => chat while playing => find a nice player => you win/lose you don't care you add him as a frined and tell him you think he is a good player and you would like to have him as a practice partner => Success ! ( for more friends : repeat => infinit practice partners ! )
-Learn to enjoy playing 110% this is what is good with this game :D ( I you don't like it => mods or a lot of other games are made for you ) -Make more cheeses ( I personnaly enjoy when people BM me ) -Find practice partners => make CG => come back to ladder => better win ratio => better motivation => more wins => you start to lose again => repeat with better practice partners ! -Learn to micro better (marine split challenge and other micro mods ) start trying micro in ladder => yeah you are a boss at it => repeat.
You can mix your micro practice with cheeses against your practice partner while playing 110% => nerdgasm !

I fixed your original post so that it's legible.
On topic: Whatever makes you happy man, if you keep tanking down to bronze you're really not going to learn anything though. You say you strive for Diamond but doing this repetitive tanking style does nothing to improve. Sometimes you need to get your ass kicked a hundred times before you just what you're doing wrong.

True, I'm planning to stop the dropping bullshit and just compete with the Diamond League Players

I'm 16, however I play the NA server at a significantly higher level.
The loneliness of the game is just a facet of it for now. Once you get get good enough to be on a team, you will be put on a team where (hopefully) there is a lot of conversation and inter-practise.
That's atleast where I am aiming for, my goal is to reach masters league on KR (very close!!!) and then hopefully seek out a team by beginning to pit myself in tourneys and contacting several managers to ask how they run a team that i am interested in joining,
