Your opinion is sexist, ignorant, and irrelevant. In most circles, those opinions truly don't matter. You're more than welcome to try and voice it though.
Clearly the girl has talent. They wouldn't waste money on her if she hadn't. Who knows, maybe someday you'll get high enough on the ladder (you won't) to play her if she smurfs on your server and you'll get a nice warm slice of humble pie.
Seriously. What is wrong with you?

I'm amazed at the number of people who claim she was picked up because of her looks or genitalia or whatever, when it says in the OP that Rainbow was there to test her - presumably by playing against her. Why would they bother to send Rainbow to China and have him play against someone if they were going to add her to the team based on something else than her ability to play SC2?
You know, in many other threads, blatantly showing that you haven't read the OP gets you a warning or a ban...
Moreover, if Rainbow went to China, played against an unknown Chinese boy who subsequently got picked up by the team, would you say that because you haven't heard of him, there are obviously better players out there and he shouldn't have been picked up? Would you claim that they added him to the team because he had a dick? Would you say that no Korean teams should ever add any Chinese players at all, because GM in China is too easy, so no matter how good a Chinese player is, he'll never be good enough?
You claim that players should be chosen based on their skill. However, your reasons for bashing her seems to be: 1) She hasn't won any Western tournaments, so you personally don't know about her 2) She is a girl. The fact that Rainbow tested her skills and approved of them doesn't even figure into your equation. Now, who's disregarding skill?

Do people like you actually exist or are you just a really good troll?

She's very pretty!
Looking forward to seeing her play.

great pickup, all teams should start adding female players in order to grow esports, its another whole untapped demographic plus im sure the existing demograhic wont mind lol. how do u get non-sc2 fans to watch sc2? recruit female players! although i hope their skills r all up par, eye candy > skills until the female scene develops further.
and of course ppl should be hired based on skill, but in the real world, skill isnt the only determining factor. sex and looks play a small but tangible part in the hiring process. better looking ppl are always gonna have an advantage and better looking girls r gonna always be able to use their sex appeal to move up, until bosses start being female instead of male.

Congratulations to MisS. Sounds like she has a solid background with WC3 and commentating. I look forward to seeing her play once she starts practicing full time with a great time like Startale. Good to see Startale continue to grow too.

As for you negative souls muddying up this thread, I really wish you'd stop being so ignorant and actually try to think for once. What exactly do you want? Female players to only ever be able to join a team if there is absolutely no male player who is better than them that is interested in joining the team? What do you see coming out of this? Because I see a cycle of continuously discouraging female players from SC2 competition.
You can't just take a group that has almost no presence in competitive SC2, and a minority presence in SC2 in general, and make all opportunities "equal" and then except for them to succeed somehow. The starting point is too unequal to ever expect a fair result if nothing is done to encourage/help that group.
These negative comments just come out of a complete lack of understanding of inequality issues, and history. They're akin to the ignorance you see in Women's history month threads where some people will complain "Why do we have Women's history month, but not Men's history month??? Unfair!" You're just ignorant and you have no idea what you're talking about.

She's freaking cute. I hope she crushes some nerds.

Nice, could we be seeing a female division in the starcraft league? I'll be looking forward to it.

Anyone who is saying that she is signed solely because she's a girl is being foolish. Also, anyone who says that she is being signed solely based on her skill is being foolish. It's a mix of both, that much is obvious. It's a great marketing piece for Startale - picking up a talented female. If she does well, they'll get a ton of attention and also will be seen as a contributor to "gender equity" in e-sports. If she fails to get any decent results, Startale STILL gets attention and is STILL seen as a contributor to gender equity. Plus, with her background in hosting, they have a great insurance plan even if she isn't good. She can be the Anna Prosser of StarTale, looking good and speaking well in promotions for the team.
All in all, a great move from StarTale even if the player in question isn't likely to give MVP or Nestea nightmares.

She's goin to be like a steak in a house full of hungry dogs.
Good on ST though, making an impact in the scene like this. There are some other fairly good Chinese women. I wonder who'll be next to hop on the bandwagon. As I could see this getting ST more popular with the ladies in Korea.

Where are the girls who aren't absurdly pretty?

Apparently she never opens her mouth...
