You dont like ME 1 and 2 ? Then why you even write here... Only thing i dont like is how shepard run... But plus is that game is really hard , on hardest diffuculty Everything else is sorta the same for me..
The way Shepard runs in his civilian outfit is kind of silly, but otherwise I feel people are just making up issues based on either their fears or their assumptions. So far I've got no reason to believe that ME3 has not improved on ME2 in every way.
I loved every aspect of it. I guess I'm a fanboy or something but the few things that weren't great were barely noticeable unless you're actually looking to be critical. Not sure what people mean when they say cover is clunky as I didn't have any issues with it at all that weren't previously experienced in the other games. I'm extremely excited for this game. Also, holy shit at the changes Ashley's looks got. She doesn't look like an absolute troll now. <3
Overall, if you're a fan of the first two, you'll love this one as well.
The new rolls add much-needed mobility, but the slipperiness/stickiness of rolling vs cover does take some getting used to. The gameplay is just as fun as in ME2, if not moreso; the second half (particularly the robot boss fight) seemed slightly harder than mid-ME2 fights, but that might just be due to not having a sniper rifle as an Infiltrator on Insanity. I enjoyed the supporting characters' dialogue a lot -- Garrus' "Why the hell don't I have one of those..." put a huge grin on my face, as he is probably my favorite crewmember from the franchise. It was rather obvious that the parts of the demo were chosen to advertise the action setpieces, so I expected conversations and player influence on decisions to be scarce.
I was going to preorder anyway, but I definitely have no qualms about it after playing through the demo.
I'm pretty shocked that some of you think so badly of ME3. I enjoyed ME1 and ME2 a lot and I enjoyed ME3 demo aswell. Starting mission is glorious, controls seem pretty slick (like someone said cover sticking is something we have to get used to, cuz Shepard jumps 8m from cover to cover and sometimes you don't even know cover is there). Enemies weren't very good in any of previous ME, they act same here. Boss fight was satisfying.
I didn't liked a lot that demo threw me into random mission with character that died in my world in ME1. But I'm not gonna be picky, i feel its going to be a great game and I can't wait for finale. I only hope that this story ends with ME3, because I really like when things finish and I can remember them as whole.

I loved ME1, liked ME2. This games demo is total trash.
As that person said, they're retard proofing this game hardcore while shitting all over the story (as shown by the leaked game scripts and whatnot) I'll spare the details as I'm sure a lot of people here are invested in the story and don't want to be spoiled. However, if you are interested, go get that script and you'll see exactly what I mean. =/
Just finished playing the demo. Seems like a very polished version of ME2, graphicwise it looks amazing, (on PC). The music its very different from the other versions, but still got to keep in mind i got to play a DEMO, so the sample size is rather small. Also i think it was the adequate music as its supposed to get you this feeling of beign on the earth while lots of people are dying around you, it sets the mood properly, i got to admit i feel rather sad when the little kid.. well you know, and its always nice when a game gets you to actually "feel" involved on the events.
The combat seemed rather fast paced, i liked it, yet as usual i seem to have issues knowing where the enemies are coming from... as much as i hate to admit it, this got me killed on the scene with the Atlas as i seem to have a Rambo style of play with ranged weapons.... (LOL) Not really a fan of the "upgrade" menu, as i seem it can be difficult to pick wich kind of talent or mixture of abilities is best for you, also unlike ME2 it didnt seemed as the upgrades for the same talent where headed towards a common ultimate "final ability" (dunno if i explained this well) ----> ME2 upgrades seemed like either more damage, or more splash, ME3 ups, i sorta got lost in wich way to go :S
AS for the characters, im happy garrus, wrex, LIARA (OH YEAH!), Ash, Anderson, are around, the models seems very nice as always (specially ash, i mean... nice... the specter thing did marvels to her) I also got the feeling wrex was kinda different, less aggressive or something, didnt quite felt the same, but it might be because they want to explore a different side of the character + Show Spoiler +
(Krogan on Krogan romance?)
Im looking forward to develop the romance/relation with Liara, as i feel its the best romance story in the game along with the one with Tali.At least for my male shep.
Cant wait to play ME3, but first i need to finish my rerun on both ME1 and ME2 so i still got time :D
im just a little annoyed that they still didnt implement gamepad support. to me playing a 3rd person shooter just feels so much more natural with a 360 pad. also mass effect has always been a game where you are watching a lot of cutscenes and i can enjoy these much better when im lurking in my couch than when im sitting at my desk. really it couldnt be that hard to just enable the console controls for pc. god how i hate these shitty console ports... wait, no that doesnt make sense.. god how i hate EA and and their evil origin client, okay that should work lol

I died a couple of times due to the same issue, and I realized that I'd never used the command menu's radar in ME2 because the combat setpieces were so linear. ME3 hasn't really changed the linearity, but at least they've introduced new angles of attack/spawns to spice things up a bit.
As for the skill customization, I'm glad they appear to have listened to complaints about ME2's dearth of meaningful customization by adding skill trees. The way it's implemented both allows additional, impactful choices without necessarily punishing the player because both branches advance the overall skill tree.
Sometimes my sniper wont reload after a shot. This also happened in ME2 to me. Does this only happen to me or is this a known bug? I adapted to it by manually reloading after every bullet but sometimes I simply forget doing it :/
I hope game reps don't read forums like this because the elitist bs is pretty much a vocal annoying fringe of people that don't like FUCKING ANYTHING. I honestly don't know what they are comparing games to sometimes. It's like I somehow am missing out on the other 99% of games that somehow do everything perfectly right.
The demo was a demo, and a very fun demo at that. The combat was more of the same, but felt slicker and more dynamic to me. Rolling is hopefully still a work in progress, or perhaps has a little learning curve to it, but I could live with it even if this is the "final version" of rolling. Conversations/trees/etc are obviously "nerfed" in the demo, I fully expect ME2 quality or better when the game comes out for real. The graphics were generally very good, although I think they can do better. I seriously got chills when liara and garrus showed up, they look great, and I love their characters. The skill tree was excellent, although I think you should be able to assign points just by clicking the bar in the overview screen, and not having to actually open each individual skill to assign points.
I actually like the hit blips. Sure, it's "CoD-ish", but it just felt right for some reason, and it's not because I'm a CoD player, I haven't touched the game since CoD:4.
I hope the music is a bit more intrusive in the real game though. I loved the ME1/2 music, and hope for more greatness in ME3.

I love communities that say if you don't like how the game is immediately, you're an elitist and don't like anything in an attempt to trivialize your statement. This game is being retard proofed and, from what I read personally in the leaked script, I personally think the story is being annihilated by a very casual crowd. I'll still buy it probably but yeah. That's my opinion.
If you're just walking do you always have your gun out like that? That really bothers me, you're always pointing your weapon and stuff. In an FPS it's different to me since the gun looks like it's in a relaxed position in your hands, but in a third person view the gun is upheld making it look like you're actively pointing your gun at everything.

Can't you holster weapons whenever you want? Q or something in the first two games I think?

ME2 Insanity on Adept or can you pick the difficulty and I just didn't realize at all?
Adept Insanity was pretty painful in ME2 just because you needed your teammates to remove shields and the like, did not like it..
I thought Insanity adept was pretty fun in ME2. Warp explosions all day baby. Ez Pz.
Adept on insanity in Me2 would be hard, but doable. Warp will let you hit 2/3 of defenses, and with a good party and the right bonus skill you can take it. Problem is, so many of your skills are useless most of the time, which kinda blows.
My favorite char for insanity was a sentinel. Crazy survivability, Warp and Overload, and spamable CC with area throw. Add in a squadmate with an attack power appropriate for the mission (Mordin, Miranda, or Garrus) and Grunt for squad fire ammo and general baddassery, and you're good to go.
Ahhh can't decide if I should get this on PC since I have one that can handle it now or xbox since I have save files from ME1 and 2 on it. Leaning towards PC since I don't want to pay for xbox live again to try the mp.

I played an adept through insanity in ME2. It wasn't hard at all. Of course I did pick up assault rifle training on the DCS and use the imba mattock for the rest of the game. shoot in head -> squad member pull -> my warp. ezpz
Played demo, seems like it'll be a good game, worth playing through once, but probably not one of the greats.
