The music (from what little there was to hear in the demo) was nowhere near the quality of what we had in the first two games. The absence of Jack Wall is already very apparent.

I'd recommend listening again. The music is a bit understated, but I feel Clint Mansell has done an outstanding job.

I would half agree with you. As stated before

Still not sure points :
- Musics are quieter, not as epic

I had the memory of playing Mass Effect 2 while being super pumped because of the epic music. Here, it's much more quiet. It introduces a different mood. And I don't know if it's a good thing or not =/

ME3 demo finished

Positive points :
- Improved graphics
- Intelligent ability tree
- Shepard is more agile
- Enemies by pack of 10 rather than 6
- Stable game, no crash
- You get involved in the story
- Fights seems more interesting
- The Mass Effect license! "Hold the line"!

Still not sure points :
- Narration seems... different.
- Musics are quieter, not as epic
- Your companions are not as cool as what I remembered

Sucks a bit :
- All the NPCs seem stupid so far (Alliance)
- Shepard says random things ("We fight for survival!" -> "That's the plan?")

npc are stupid, there are obvious holes in the me story line, first off no one believes shepard because he's the only one you saw it all. But in ME1 they talk about the helms having cams recording it all so wth? ME also had very little plot movement, the collectors aren't the reapers and all we did to stop the reapers was nothing just a small delay if you played all the dlc's

Agreed. I like all the changes they made, they just fucked up the demo by not letting you change your loadout.

Well that's the problem with all demos they are too short, frankly i would like them to be like 3 4 hours of game play from the start of the real game when it's like a game like this to get people hooked, so they have to go out to find out what happens

My complaints have nothing to do with the length of the demo, they have to deal with the execution. And yes, demo's are meant to sell the game, what other purpose would they have.

Also, that's not really a plothole. All the "evidence" of the reapers Shepard had was

1) His talk with Sovereign. The council believed Soverign to be Geth, so it would make sense that it was trying to engage in a bit of psychological warfare.

2) Statements by Saren, who was clearly insane, and being manipulated by Sovereign. Not exactly a reliable source.

3) The computer on Ilos. Not only was it destroyed, but there was no way to verify that it was accurate.

Add in a strong political incentive to maintain the status quo and prevent unrest in the wake of an attack that almost destroyed the citadel, and it's easy to understand why the council chose to not believe Shepard.

You're going to tell me that saren to do psychological warfare built a secret prothean base with a VI just so Sheppard would stumble across it and also teleport to the beacon in the citadel.

Oh no why did you have to link that... now I'm going to have to watch all of them. Reminds me of the Plinkett star wars reviews but not quite as funny.

Alos, my single biggest gripe in the demo

The infiltrator has no sniper rifle during the demo! What were you thinking Bioware? oO

Thought it was excellent, the combat was quite enjoyable and I am not at all disappointed by the new enemies. The sound design was great (especially in the opening cinematic). With regards to the sound, I'd have to agree with others in that I found the music in the two selected missions a bit understated though which sometimes made it feel for me that something was 'missing'.

In terms of cinematics, I think the opening is really well designed and it really grips. For me, it was actually so well done that the playing part after that actually didn't feel as intense as it should have.

The demo didn't reveal for me many choice/consequence dynamics yet though (might have been there in the first mission though, not sure), so I can't say much about that yet other than that I hope they will really let the loss of teammates in previous parts significantly affect Shepards psychological profile as they claim in the character creation screen.
It is a sign of strength to cry out against fate, rather than to bow one's head and succumb.

Everyone has the same Weapon combination . The Demo is pretty limited and out of context to really jugde anything.

Multiplayer says more about the game, if you ask me. You need to balance weapons with power cooldown. The heavier your equipment the more it takes to recharge, which is why abilities are super fast in the first portion of the demo, but very slow in the second. It also means adepts are likely to be running around with just pistols while soldiers are going to be carrying all sorts of firepower. You need to take the demo with the obvious disclaimer that it is a demo. Funny how many people forget that.

Second. I was pissed, although using the infiltrator as a brawler (cloak in then mow down with assualt rifle) was amazing.
They say great science is built on the shoulders of giants. Not here. At Aperture, we do all our science from scratch, no hand holding. Step aside, REAL SCIENCE coming through.

mm the demo was fun though, first level was alright, only thing one gathered from that was that movement felt less restrained and that gunplay was more satisfying.

Second level I actually almost died at the end because I didn't notice that the miniboss (boss?) had little minions xD so I just had my soldiers and myself repositioning to face it, getting shot in the back for a while in the meantime. Played as sentinel (my fave class), more or less felt like before but more fun and fast paced. Also stasis is great, did it exist in ME2? I forget. Am playing through ME2 now though so will see for myself.

This was on PC. And yes I can see how infiltrator (my second fave class in ME2) might actually be much better now given melee. Will try multiplayer in an hour or so, but man, excited for the game.

ME2 Insanity on Adept or can you pick the difficulty and I just didn't realize at all?

Adept Insanity was pretty painful in ME2 just because you needed your teammates to remove shields and the like, did not like it..

The beginning scene in the Demo is NOT the opening scene in the game right..?

Because he's introduced as a grounded Alliance commander but ME2 ended with him as still with Cerberus.

Play through the DLC. Arrival is the last piece which serves as the bridge between ME2 and ME3. Then there's also the comic series which takes place in between the ending of Arrival and the beginning of ME3.

I feel like the controls for the cover system has actually regressed... when you try to peek over cover sometimes it doesn't zoom in thus you have the middle of the screen blocked by Shep's body as well as having tiny un-zoomed targets.
Everyone needs a nemesis.

I agree, controls for cover and movement from that cover are really clunky now. I had a hard time running around corners and navigating the tight quarters of the area for the big robot boss. Either that, or the game is much more fast paced than ME2, but the movements are still the same (this is probably the case).

However, I LOVE the feel of the guns now, especially that one click = one trigger pull now such that you could fire faster than just holding down the trigger (I don't remember ME2 having this, but I could be wrong).

Edit: On PC.

The controls are more clunky, tried some ME2 and it was much easier to get out/in of cover(Since you can use spacebar in ME2 to do it) I hope they make it better in the release version

Stasis wasn't in the vanilla game, but was present as bonus ability after completing Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC

God I hope you're exaggerating. Still, it's EA so who knows..... ME3 could be the new DA2.
