The 11th team has been created in Starcraft 2.
The new Starcraft 2 Team ‘RS’ has officially announced their appearance on the 10th. “RS” stands for the Rising Star and showed their eagerness to prove themselves to be the new rising stars
Yim Hyun Suk is the head coach/manager of the team ‘RS.’ The team includes 5 players with the protoss player Kim Doh Kyung (Lure) who has made it to the GSL Season 1 Code A Qualifier and Lee Jong Hyun, Kim Choong Yin, Choi Min Soo, and Ahn Min Woo.
The Coach has stated that “For a long time I wanted to create a Starcraft 2 Pro Team with the right players. Unfortunately we have not been able to officially start a team and it was heartbreaking to lose some talented players. Therefore I have promised to officially announce the team when we have a player that successfully goes through the qualifier. This season, Kim Doh Kyung (Lure) has made it through the qualifiers and I was able to keep the promise. We are still not perfect, but we will continue to work hard. Look forward to our future.’

Just to clear up the confusion, iS has an agreement with RS, Mentalist did not leave the team and will still be representing iS in all non-Korean tournaments.
Thanks.

More competition and choice for players is always a fantastic thing!

best of luck. (please get a new logo. maybe from fishuuu? )

I think the most interesting thing to note here is that this would mean Mentalist is no longer on iS.
Good luck to Rising Star in the future!

Looks like GSTL is going to be fun again.

Woah, I wasn't exactly expecting this but it's pretty interesting. Although I thought Mentalist was on Infinity Seven :<? Did he switch teams or is it a different player with the same ID and name [김충인]?

I had heard Mentalist wasn't playing for Infinity Seven a few days ago (despite the fact that he played for them in the NASL Team League Qualifiers against dtG)
I kinda saw the annoucement coming soon, but didn't expect it to be with another team.

Nice! I love the team name, I hope they are a success, I will be cheering for them for sure, seriously an awesome name
|
Very cool. I wish them the best. Wonder if they're eligible to participate in the GSTL. We could have the next coming of MVP on our hands. Or the next Zenex
|
Good luck! Heard of mentalist before, best of luck!

Wouldn't it be 10 if we count the outlines of the letter R?
|
Does this mean that Mentalist is still on iS (Infinity Seven) , or does it not matter since this is a KR based team?
|
If they have too many rising stars foreigner teams might start hunting koreans again.
All joking aside, it is a pretty strange team name. What happens if they actually start being the best? Would they still be considered rising?

No matter how good you get (even if you are the best), you always want to be on the rise.

I think it should also be noted that Ahn Min Woo (PeGaSuS) is also listed as the coach for Check Six.

Gogo Soulman, grats on the new team

Lure/Luer was on Check Six at one point, but as far as I'm aware he left the team a while back.
