Just last week there was a little controversy surrounding the pictures taken by a finnish professional photographer, which were published by a finnish newspaper on their website and later the same website screencapped for use on major US newspapers. Hell, the screencap's picture was even credited wrong to the finnish newspaper. Unless you agreed to let them use the photos for commercial use when you signed up for the commercial, i'd sure as hell demand *some* compensation. You DO realize that SOMEONE is making money off that calendar?*Shrugs* I really don't care since I already got my prize for the competition, and these calendars are actually given as service to customers and not sold most of the time. Also they probably didn't ask because none of the staff really speak English.

You DO realize that SOMEONE is making money off that calendar? No offence, but would you just drop the issue please. I really don't care. I'm *not* a professional photographer, and I'm just pleased to see a hobby of mine being recognized as something useful. It makes me happy to think that other vocaloid/figure fans in the local Korean community will see my work in this way. I have been credited on the calendar and I'm fine with the use of my photos as long as they're credited. This blog isn't about discussing copyright issues, it's just to share my own pleasure at seeing my work in used in such a nice way.
