There are too many scumbags from too many corners of the world who will do this kind of shit over and over and over. The prize-money involved, a majority of the time, is these players livelihood as pro-gamers. I understand that it's IPL's money that this guy has run off with, but there needs to be a governing body for StarCraft players to ensure this doesn't happen.
Surely with a community as large as ours we have some lawyers or legal-minded people who can shed some light on the implications of stupid shit such as this.
Im thinking there shouldn't be a union but a governing body definatly like in BW with Kespa. It would definatly help legitimize tournaments an this whole situation likely would've been avoided. Though it shouldn't have as much power though as Kespa does but it should be Kespaesque.
I would love to see Gus in court, but that is just very unlikely. Still IPL and this community did the best that they could, helping out Amanda like they did.
Very good read on your blogspot, and it seems to be pretty good documentation of information. I would dearly love to be kept up to date on any information regarding Gus as it happens.
Thank you very much for the blog post Amanda, it's this kind of transparency that IPL follows, promotes, and inspires that allows the community to see how wrong what Gus did really is. I'm really glad that my small donation went to a good cause, and trust me, nobody blames you for anything involved with the event.
I still want to know if there's really nothing that can be done legally about this! Gus can't possibly be allowed to walk away like this right? It's as he literally just dropped off the face of the planet.

I wouldn't be so negative . Shit happens sometimes, but its unfair to say that it "always happens". I hope the crap that gus did to you doesn't affect your outlook and association with e-sports as a whole. Most people are usually nice (as evidenced by the donations that your received from total strangers wanting to help you out).
All the best for your future and I hope your uncle arrests Gus for all the embezzlement he has done.
Im sure others will also keep everyone posted as some things develop...
I know people have been left in the dark and its been several weeks since everything started.... I hope my blog helped to answer some floating questions about what happened,,, i can only speak for myself from my POV though,,,
thank you so much really for reading through,,, i know its pretty tasking as i did write a lot of things on it,,,

Don't worry about this anymore, the Community will handle the rest.
Mineski will hopefully do the next event in SEA Region or Phillippines not AZK or i mean Gus for that Matter

(if he is running away at least) it's fucking pathetic.
Wow... That vid is just awesome! I really hope that SEA recovers from this and manages to keep putting up these kind of events, because it looks great! :D
