I went to the New York Comic Con to get some autographs and some pictures. The event was pretty cool, although it was confusing because they moved the IEM area to a different location from last year. I wasn't able to attend on Friday, so I attended Saturday and Sunday. Saturday wasn't very big in terms of crowds, and it was confusing because I didn't know the schedule of events (the NYCC booklet didn't mention anything) - I pretty much sat through a couple of the other games just to watch the SC2. They played some of the SC2 off the main stage (instead showing it on the tiny screens in front of the players) so I didn't even know it was going on. Sunday had a pretty huge crowd for the CS and SC2 finals, with people pretty much standing everywhere. Watching Fruitdealer go 2-0 then lose 2-3 was pretty amazing. The last 3 games where DRG won were pretty close overall. Carmac was a very awesome promoter of the event, especially when he made DRG give away beta key cards (that was a hellish swarm!). The korean players were very open to giving autographs and pictures, which was really awesome.
