In Europe both True Spirit and Freezer 13 Pro beat Hyper 212+ in cost-efficiency. Currently Loki is 5$ after MIR: www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233081 Gaia is 10$ after MIR: www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233082

I guess I'll also mention this deal as it still is pretty nice for that kind of a heatsink.

Unless I dont care about such a thing. Also case fans for an Antec 300 would be a neat suggestion. Wouldnt mind keeping the free shipping train rolling. EDIT: After research looks like I have 3 120mm fan spots left and 1 140mm. Also I noticed this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233029

Hyper 212 EVO reviews are so weird -.- This one review has it outperforming a NH-D14 and A70 and Thermaltake Frio and Thermalright Venomous-X? That makes no sense -.- Dark Knight should be a notch better than Hyper 212 or Gaia but I've read conflicting reviews of it, in some it loses to even Gaia and it others it does incredibly well. Also for case fans, if you don't give a shit about the noise you should get Deltas! =)

I have a Gaia and the thing I like the most about it is the low noise (lower than 212+). Low price + reasonable cooling + low noise = win for me. But since noise is not a concern, From what I can recall in the back of my head from various reading over time, Gaia ~ 212+ < 212 Evo < Dark Knight < EVGA Superclock (this one looks good) and other ~$50 coolers e.g. Frio < D14 ~ Megahalems ~ Silver Arrow (edited for accuracy) Though for cooling value for $, the 212 Evo is probably (one of) the best. You get like ~80% of the performance of the silver arrow for ~40% of the price. EDIT: Some coolers perform significantly better with custom fans though, the D14 for example can go down like 5* IIRC but who is willing to spend another ~$40+ on quality high airflow/static pressure fans? Might as well just get a 212 evo and forgedabboutit if you're not an OC enthusiast.

What's the cooler's clearance? etc. For my Gaia installation on an MSI mobo with Ripjaws, I was BARELY able to do it. They essentially touch, like 1mm of space between fan and heatspreaders.

And if they stick you on the rebate I can only imagine what else they are trying to get away with.

EDIT: If you're going for the Hyper 212+, now you're going to need to start considering Hyper 212 EVO =P

I only want a cooler for longevity and moderate overclocking.

The differences between coolers that are like more expensive in ~$10 increments are a few degrees C and shouldn't matter to anyone who's doing "moderate" OC (I think of moderate as at most 1.35VCore on Sandy Bridge or equivalent for other platforms)

For case fans by the way my serious suggestion would probably be Scythe Gentle Typhoons or Slipstreams depending on what you want. Also, newegg review on Bulldozer 4100: Pros: 10% increase in PCMark test score over my Athlon II 630 with no overclocking. Greater overclocking range if you are so inclined. I researched opinions before buying and bought it still, it is a definite improvement for what I do. Cons: Neweggs pricing is a little high. Other Thoughts: Gigabyte GA-970A-ud3 4 gig DDR3 Wintec 1866 mem at 1333mhz XFX RADEON HD 5770 This is faster than the Athlon II I replaced it with. My system booted right up with no problems. Have played Heroes VI and Starcraft II. I have seen a significant improvement in both games so far with no problems at all. I also have seen a significant increase in boot time since going to the Gigabyte board. This is a very good buy at this price. It will hold me over until something better comes along for this AM3+ board. I upgrade a lot so I always have an older processor around if there is a need for a BIOS update first. Still, a BIOS update problem is with the board manufacturer and not the processor. I would think a bad review would be more appropriate for the board with this problem. And 5 Eggs o.O And the CPU averages 5 Eggs o.O By the way, there's a -15$ promo code on it now so it's a good time to buy a Bulldozer 4core if you want.
