what? name me some, i'm interested
I'm pretty sure he means people who map-hacked or abused something. You should know these foreign players who did so.
TT1 right ? yeah there was a lot of talk about him hacking
Since the names are already listed, yes TT1 is one of them. Then there is players what BlindRawR mentioned. Some others also, who are now SC2 players and in respectable teams.

lol come here, then we'll talk if cricket is fragile.

Please explain the context I have no idea what's going on and searching didn't help.
I'm confused too now because he said he utilized ear-hack which means to use the audience's sounds/screams to your advantage such as when your opponent is doing something or your unit just missed a proxy and hearing them would make you look around move. But in this case the audience screaming for Savior goes against his favor and that's what I got out of the video. The exact moment where the commentator and audience starts making noise and the camera switches to Savior's face you can tell he has this expression like "Fuck, I hope he didn't hear it and it didn't give away what I'm doing".
It was a best of 3 though, there were 2 other games played.
That was the last game of the bo3 and I don't get what you're trying to say with your statement even if lets say it was the first game of the series.
All I was saying is that he was using "ear-hack" in the entire series not just that one game. That game was linked because you can actually see his facial expression change.

No. No one would let him back.
As much as I want to believe this to be true, there is a large contingent of the SC2 world that would welcome him with open arms.
I'm sure Gom and OGN (who seems to be gaining ground on sc2) would keep him out. I don't think MLG for example would risk ruining their partnership with Gom over SaviOr.
Savior should have gotten a 1 or 2 year ban. Why does ESPORTS have to be the domain of unforgiving ruthless fascists? It makes it illegitimate. In other sports, for a first offense, you get a ban of a certain period. It's stupid to think ESPORTS is MORE legit and tougher on crime than real sports. His punishment is a pathetic cry that says "we're a real sport and punish offenders!"
If only the Court of Arbitration for Sport could get involved in ESPORTS. They would have handled the case better and been less stupid (i.e., stripping him of all past victories officially). I'm not a KeSPA hater, but this was, is, and will be one of the dumbest most poorly handled things they've ever done.

Okay let's strap you in the boots of kespa managing director , my players are having out side influence controlling the outcome of the game , I created a brand that is respected and assured to the teenagers and adults that these will be a clean sport and they work hard they get paid for it . Will you as a MD of kespa would have allow outside forces corrupt the hardwork you have been doing for all your life ? . I wouldn't and I agree with their action . Savior maybe the best , but what he did was not only not respectable , because of him he pulled down a lot of upcoming stars , Hwasin,Upmagic mostly which were memorable and had potential were lost during the whole chaos.
Match fixing is illegal there will be heavy repercussion to any one who decides to walk that path.

Savior and Progaming can never have a relationship.
Can you imagine what the viewers, and not to mention the passing viewers, would think if they saw him on TV? Would people ever accept his losses or wins? What about his fellow competitors, not to mention all of the casters and production staff, would they accept having to work with someone who hurt their livelihood?
It's so easy to say that KeSPA, fans, E-Sports etc are just being facist stupid prideful whatever, but the reality is a lot harder.

Yes, I would hand him a ban for two years because that's how real sports work. People cheat in every aspect of competition because they want money. This is no different. Banning forever them didn't save ESPORTS any more than handing them a two year one would have. And managers work hard in other sports too, so do governing bodies. BroodWar is not especially noble or superior.

What did people think of Ivan Basso when he came back from his cycling ban? A little controversy, but mostly he garnered positive attention because he was a champion. He apologized. He was punished.
Any of the match-fixers could have had a relationship with progaming. You are wrong, and the precedent that has been set makes ESPORTS look like it's management is full of incompetent clowns who don't think. Cheating always hurts livelihood. And cheaters are sanctioned, fined, and punished.
Oh, come on. One is calling the people who love savior and want to see him play more stupid, another is calling savior disgraceful human. Thats too much. I`m pretty sure savior understands his mistake and is very sorry this. Regardless of what he did, he is a master bw player, who made revolution and showed total domination in the hardest computer game and this in my book makes him a legend.

마빡이새키덜 여기서도 설치냐 ㅅㅂ /rage I've said this before and I'll say it again. You are talking about wishing to let a scoundrel -who single-handedly almost killed the successful BW E-sports scene with his insatiable desire for luxury items- to ruin another healthy growing SC2 E-sports scene. This is the person the cemented the stupid idea that video games are nothing but harmful to the Korean society, especially among the older people who were starting to accept it as it is: a healthy competition with honor and pride. Remember this?
I shed many tears when I saw this. P.S. And Ivan Basso didn't cause THIS much harm to the sports he played in, even with his level of faggotry.

I won't argue Savior et. al. tarnished the image. But do say he "almost single-handedly killed the successful BW E-sports scene" is ridiculous. It was already on the decline, already being downsized. Bad world economy, a commercially successful sequel (I know it hasn't been a runaway success in Korea), and the fact that it's getting old.
And I am squarely on the side of BW. Just being a realist, not an emotional zealot who thinks the scene would be thriving without the scandal.
People all seem so quick to beat down on savior because they see what he has down as terrible, immoral, disgraceful, etc. The truth is that he is no different from any of us. A lot of people seem to think that they are going to be the exact same person regardless of whatever situation they are placed in, and everybody is judging savior based on their current state of mind, whatever that may be. The truth is that nobody really knows what it was like to be in his position, nobody really knows what it feels like to have lost so much glory and admiration in such a little amount of time, knowing that at a young age you are already past your prime. I am not saying that what he did was right, but I am kind of tired of the generalizations that savior was a bad person and a good player. It's not that simple. Savior is not inherently bad, he is no different than any of us. A lot of people would have done that exact same thing that Savior would have done if they were in his position.
