Every thread I have ever seen about Milkis on reddit / TL was about how wonderful you are, and how much people appreciate what you've been doing.
You can leave if you want, but don't do it thinking that the community doesn't love you, because we do. Nothing really happened. Milkis gave his point of view about Broodwar on reddit why it is superior to everything else, the others that were not Broodwar player or that came from another background, of course, disagreed and said that he was wrong.

No disrespect or anything, but: This post makes you look like a pussy. Gonna be even worse when you come back.

Thank you for all you've done.
Sorry for the random jerks in the community. I assure you more people appreciate what you've done then those who think you've done badly.
Nerds as you yourself are one are elitest even you admit to being so when it comes to BW. So they get loud over the internet over things that don't matter.
The fact is the ones that are being loud are the minority and most peopel appreciate what you've done

This is the equivalent of a hormonal sixteen year old girl asking everyone on Facebook whether or not she is pretty. Of course she is pretty and she knows it, but she wants the attention and reassurance.
I'm simply not going to give a grown man that type of reassurance. None of us need it nor deserve it.

E-sports is definitely not the right place for u if you cant stand criticism.
Still, i think you were one of the best translators, even on stage and i have the feeling most people thought this way.

Even if enough people say nice things that convince him to come back, what happens next time someone criticizes him publicly? He gets all emotional again, and quits? If he can't handle that kind of stuff it may be in his best interest for him to leave, as much as I have enjoyed the content he has put out.

Fuck the haters dood don't go we love u!!

At this point, I just hope Milkis is not too proud to take this blog back and continue his good work. This has definitely backfired, but hopefully it has also shown him that we do] want him in the community. We really do. Everyone has these "incidents" once in a while. I've certainly had my share, where I've overreacted to something and made choices that I later wish I could take back.
Please take this back. Please stay.

I may have bitched you out a bit on twitter and that was wrong, but I'll be honest I did love your translations. They gave not only me, but thousands of others insight into something we normally wouldn't be able to. If you've lost your passion for the game over this, it was meant to be. But this game has a strange way of always bringing you back.

dont know if 5 stars cuz i love milkis or 1 star cuz i am sad hes leaving =( Milkis pls stay with us. dont let reddit take you from us =( dont let them srew you over! DONT LET THEM BEAT YOU DOWN! Reddit is a mindless angry mob. in 1 second they love you (like after the MKP thing) and another they totally forget that you ever did something good and hate you. Thats how a big mass of Witchhung hungry dumbasses are. 90% didnt even read your post they just hate for the sake of hating.

You know, it's very telling that some of the reactions on this thread are just as bad as many on reddit (if not as extreme).
TL has definitely lost much of its etiquette and class over the last year. There's not a lot left that makes it unique any more. Saying that the "internet is evil, don't listen to it" or whatever is easy and you may think saying that makes you look mature or smart in a cynical way, but it really doesn't. Making even a small place on the internet NOT blend into that stereotype is extremely difficult, and not many people care enough to contribute to that which makes this place shit just like reddit and just like any other.
Milkis is one of those guys who made TL and symbolized the TL community for me, and also one of the rare people whose views on a lot of e-sports Starcraft related things I can agree with. But I'm not going to ask him to reconsider his decision if he indeed made it, as I don't think TL really deserves guys like him anymore.
Just get a paid translator who will be a nobody with no opinions and will take any bashing in the world for a paycheck. That's the trend in ESPORTS nowadays anyway, isn't it? Professionalism! Yay.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do Milkis.

Dude everyone loves you on reddit

You're always welcome in the bw section milkis. Screw the rabid sc2 fanboys.

I've done alot of translation work in another community(Japanese, anime), and you'll get some shit from time to time. Obviously you've been very exposed Milkis, and sometime the haters come. All you can do is just ignore it. Remember that a lot of people appreciate the work you've put it. Haters gonna hate man.

This is the truth. I posted early out of anger, but that really isn't the way to go. Thanks for this Tyler.
Milkis you are INCREDIBLE. Out of all the twitters I'm following I look at yours the most. You bridge the gap between foreigners and Koreans. Seriously without you I feel the gap would get wider and we'd be completely seperated. You've helped make the community into something better. The reason people are posted so negatively in this thread is because they are pissed of the possibility to not have you around. All the translating you've done, being a guide for the Koreans at MLGs, and just letting us know what is truly happening over there in Korea. I am extremely thankful for all you done and really hope you continue on. Don't let anyone get you down. For every hater there are several more people who truly appreciate what you've done. I don't want to see a day where there is no Milkis in the Starcraft community. <3 Milkis

I understand where you're coming from, and I also understand the "hate" you're getting for it. If this is indeed the choice you are making though, best of luck to you, and thanks for everything that you have contributed to the scene.

This is completely true for his written and online translations. If he quits, no one will replace him, and we will lose something and that will be very disappointing. However, for the MLG live translations, he is just a hired employee that will be replaced. The community loses nothing from Milkis being replaced with another translator. And since, as IPL demonstrated, there are far stronger live translators available for hire even within our own community, we stand to gain a much better live MLG broadcast as a result.

Hey Milkis, you probably won't read this but:
I feel like you're just overwhelmed by this sudden rise in status in the community. All of a sudden, you're famous because you run around and translate at MLG, one of the biggest tournaments in the world. And it's perfectly understandable that the immense pressure gets to you. I just didn't expect you to crumble under it.
I don't know you personally, and neither do you. I'm just a normal TL-er that visits the site daily and read. I hardly even post. But I CAN say that your work has been increasing in quality, especially your blogs on MLG experiences, and that alone shows that you have passion and motivation.
It's hard to lose focus when you're doing something you're passionate about, but if all this just makes you tired and stressed out, then you probably don't love it as much as you think you do. If you let criticism and harsh remarks like that get to you, it probably means that you aren't focused on what you loved and what you wanted to do, and instead you got sidetracked by meaningless naysayers.
In the end, it's up to you. We can say whatever we want about you, but you must find the passion within yourself. If you can't love your job, we can't make you stay.
Sincerely, A random TL-er.

Yes the world is indeed ending, BW is dieing, TL is apparently a nest of trolls and hate and valuable community members are leaving.
Whatever shall we do.
