Bomber and DRG are superbeasts while Happy and Gumiho are skilled too but not well known. Both Bomber and DRG are overrated. They haven't proven themselves in the GSLs. Happy is probably the best in the group, hes just overshadowed by MVP. Both Bomber and DRG have accomplished way more than Happy has, both in Korea and outside of it.

I wish there were more zergs as well 8 is pretty sad as well, but at least it's a little bit better than toss, and I really only wanted to watch the protoss games. I'll be cheering for HuK and MC though.

Group G looks pretty easy compared to the rest... I can't believe Jjaki was the 2nd to last pick. People must just forget he even exists to pick every other player before him, that, or they're suicidal rather playing guys like bomber, losira etc than jjaki lol.

Jjakji is actually really, really good. His TvT is probably his weakest match-up though, but his TvZ is excellent and his TvP is pretty damn solid as well. Eh, dunno why everyone is trash-talking Group G anyways. It's like people have forgotten that Supernova's beasting it up lately and that Virus actually has teeth (which he showed when he almost took out NesTea). Jjakji's a dark horse, but everyone who's watched him play in the Korean Weekly before knows he's a beast ... just not in TvT, which is unfortunate since this is the GSL, but what can you do?

NesTea has a tricky group, no idea why he chose a TvZ specialist.

I had to vote for Group A though. President Toss and SlayerS? That's not even a question. <3

Also poor MKP, last picked. Honestly there probably is no greater sign of respect than the fact that NO ONE wanted to play against you. Yeah, I remember the few group nominations where Nestea wasn't seeded into the top 8 and nobody wanted to pick him. Lol.

Not only is he solid but he has a unique style, so its not like normally preparing for vT. Its probably more work and just annoying

Clide definitely deserves to be code S. Neither of them have shown themselves to be consistant enough to be in Code S sangho gets of groups in code S by beating polt twice in pretty poor fashion, and then loses to anyone else. he's definitely not good enough to keep in Code S long with this new setup, and if he is, he has yet to show it. as for clide, meh he also only shows good games against good players and tends to only beat the bad ones in really dumb ways. he has the capability but he hasn't gotten over a hump. and he is certainly not top 8 or 16 in code S and so he will likely drop into Code A after the first round, whether or not he is able to get past the difficult code A bracket, who knows. but i don't think we'll see him or sangho in code S next season, and sangho probably not at all. I won't comment on Killer, but are you serious about Clide? He might not have won anything, but he is the MOST consistent Code S player to date. He is the ONLY one that has been here since the very first open season 1 that has never even been to the up and downs. And the part I bolded in your quote, u're kinda contradicting yourself. So you're saying he does good against the good players, and beats the bad ones... so therefore he doesn't deserve to be in Code S? So confused.

Although I realize there's a bit of a time constraint with the current scheduling of the matches, I think it would be infinitely more effective to incorporate Bo3's to accurately gauge a player's abilities. Hopefully they'll change everything to Bo3's and less round-robin for next year's GSL tournaments. But aside from that issue, this is as pristine as GSL could have gotten. Really loving this format! Why is this such a huge issue? It is Bo3 in the sense that they'll have to win 2 games before they lose 2. There's the preparation issue, sure, but you can say that it awards additional preparation by being ready for all possible permutations.
