- The previous season's Code S winner (
MMA) is placed directly into Group A, and picks the first opponent to be in his group. - The previous season's Code S Runner Up (MVP) is placed directly into Group H, and picks the first opponent to be in his group.
- One of the previous season's Code S Ro4 Losers (GanZi, Happy) is randomly picked. He can then choose which group he wants to be in, and then picks the first opponent to be in his group.
- The next Ro4 Loser selects his group and the first opponent for that group.
- One of the previous season's Code S Ro8 Losers (

- MKP says that he had prepared a long list of people he wanted to pick, because he though he would be picked earlier!
- When asked who he would have picked, he said Puzzle or MC.
- MKP gives a shoutout to Reddit, thanking them for giving him the chance to compete at an international event (MLG), and apologises for not playing well enough to win.
- He says that with enough support he will try to return and play well enough to win
- LosirA apologises to sC for using a Korean word ("unji" - means "dropping off a cliff", but is a reference to the last president, who jumped off a cliff.) on a Korean website. He said he didn't know the full meaning of the word at the time, and now he does, he's sorry for that.
