Not sure about LoL but HoN is up there. It was released with e-sports in mind and is being tuned towards it with great spectator tools, special LAN client for tournaments and having quite a bit of big tournaments going on for it (Dreamhack, NASL, MSI Beat It, LION Quality Cup, e-Sports Heaven, TwitchTV Challenge, WCG to name a few).

Blizzard is doing a really good job at making themselves look like clowns. Because god forbid a game developer has a fun loving, unserious attitude

Idea of characters from different Blizzard titles clashing in a not serious game sounds fun in small dozes.

It still looks like it's going to be nothing more than a custom SC2 map lacking all the features SC2 is lacking. I don't see why they would go out of their way to add them in when they couldn't be fucked to add them to SC2 it just looks like they are trying to take the piss out of the dota genre because they weren't smart enough to capitalize on it

This is just a chill out map you play with your friends in between ladder games. I'm really wondering who thought that this was a serious attempt at edging their way into the MOBA market.

Dota is considered to be a very serious E-sport, especially in china, remember the 1million dota 2 tournament? China, Ukrain, Russia, the SEA region they all have dota teams competing for money in tournaments, it is definitely an E-sports caliber game. League of Legends is being pushed hard as an E-sport and I find it entertaining to watch aswell, the tournaments so far from what I know have been sponsored by Riot mostly(the developer) but I wouldn't be suprised if more community driven tournaments will show up. It might be casual but that does not make it bad. Hon is somewhat smaller then the other 2(in terms of viewership) however it is most certainly is an E-sport with tournaments running, whether HoN survives Dota 2 is yet to be seen. For all intents and purposes, they are all as much of an E-sport as Starcraft is.

LoL is also bigger than sc2 especially in the western world, but smaller than dota since china loves dota so much. People underestimate how much bigger these games are. Yeah, I'd say LoL averages 100k+ viewers on the English stream for the finals of IEMs/MLGs. DreamHack finals had 200k+ viewers on the English stream. DotA/DotA2 is smaller than LoL outside China, but its fanbase in China alone dwarfs the worldwide fanbase for SC2, or even LoL for that matter. LoL, on the other hand, is probably the most popular game outside China and a "growing" e-sport (I say growing because the potential is not even close to being fulfilled, even though the numbers are actually bigger than BW/SC2). As for this Blizzard DotA game, it looks really fun, and I'd love to try it out. I remember playing some of the first AoS-type maps in WC3 (cos I sucked at actual WC3, so I'd just pub custom maps from time to time) and that was pretty cool. Once DotA came out, I actually hated it and found it uninspiring, repetitive and just boring though >< (edit: due to DotA being a farmfest compared to the earlier MOBA style games which were focused on actual teamfights).
