Sadly i do not have pictures as i do not have a phone or a camera that can possibly upload to a computer. But it is a good story non the less.
So hazing someone after they quit has been a very known thing at all the places i have worked. All being restaurants. it was my last day of work, i was pumped, left early said my goodbyes. Nothing really happened, just some mayo in my spare pants pocket. Meh, i was expecting something crazy. Me being battered and floured, water balloons, something.
But no. Nothing of the sort, I left with a bang.
So there i am, in my car, out of gas, enough to make it to the gas station. My car, a totaled Honda civic. Trunk is down with bungee cords, i was in a hit and run. Guy ran into my tail going like 40. So they thought it was a good idea to do this in my trunk. Its already fucked up right? Well yea, but wholly shit that thing was big.
It was a sparkler bomb, and apparently they dont have exp with them. It was a fat one too. =o. I get out of my car when i hear my trunk bang shut and they run away. I get out of my car to look, and all i see in my trunk is fuse and a taped together sparkler bomb.
There i am, staring this thing down. I consider grabbing it and throwing it out but i had no idea how long the fuse was so i bailed. Car was still on too --;
The explosion was massive. no fire or nothing but the concussion was huge. Everyone inside the restaurant heard it, and the security guard for the uptown complex heard it across the entire complex. Ground shook for a second.
I was not happy, that's a given, but i laugh hard every time i think about it. Like wow. a car bomb... LOL.
So my trunk blows open, dents the bottom. Smoke coming out from all angles of my car. And now for the damage report.
-Cracked windshield
-Shattered passenger side window
-rear-view mirror went down!
- back speakers got blown out... literally
- all my rear light bulbs shattered
- and then misc things around the car. Thrown around etc. etc. the windows were the big damage. And well inside my trunk was... blown up.
They were scared shitless when the security guard caught wind and the word cops was tossed around. I wont go into details about the bomber-men, but we still cool lol.
No cops were called cuz it would have screwed over their lives, wasn't looking for that. But now i get my car back from them, and i think its worth more now than before the explosion lol. They even fixed shit that wasn't from the bomb.
The end of the day i get a good story and a fixed up car, and they lost probably a grand in repairs. But yeah, if i didnt get out of that car, my ears would have been bleeding. Just thought id share a moment in the life of me.
please dont ask where/when it happened, because i will not answer super specifics, for reasons i think are obvious. And sry for no epic pictures ^__^

That's an insane story, not sure if I would have called the cops either as long as they paid for all the repairs, that's a pretty even trade for a story like that.

thats one hell of a way to leave your job. I'd also hope they didn't have much experience strapping bombs into cars... would be kinda awkward if they did hahahaha

I personally wasn't scared, they were due to their dumbassery lol. I was more along the lines of extremely pissed. I don't get mad often - im a laid back guy. But a bomb? If it was anyone else i would have literally grabbed my chef knife and made sure they couldn't walk. But, we homies lol.

Well there was no way i could have not been at the workplace parking lot. They threw it in while i was about to leave. Sparkler bombs are big, easy to make, and has a fuse like any other firework would. Length depends on how long you make it. But yea, say i had a full tank of gas and it put a hole in my gas line or something lol. But yea, it was just a prank went to far. thx for enjoying the read everyone ^_^
