Since I'm Asian and I have never eaten much candies and have only heard of them on the Internet, I was excited when I saw a pack at the supermarket today I immediately bought it. My God, it's one of the most amazing candies I have ever eaten in my entire life.
However, I stored the pack in the fridge over the night and when I tried one in the morning it tasted really weird. It was very 'heaty' and I felt that my throat was being sanded by sandpaper. Any advice?

You can store em in the fridge, just don't eat em asap. Wait till they aren't rock solid peanut butter.
OP, you've never had candy? Not even Almond Roca? Asians go for that shit! (I know, I'm Asian and my parents love Almond Roca.)

Butterfingers are kind of an advanced candy to start with. It's not just the peanut butter, it's that they're stacked in razor-thin layers. I'd go with Twix or Kit Kats. Kit Kats are pretty good straight out of the fridge.

Can you have other nuts, or seeds (like sunflower seeds)? You can Google "homemade butterfingers" and maybe sub sunflower seed butter in the recipe?
