I love how he plays Protoss, this heavy harassment style is so much nicer to watch than the standard timing attack style that we see from so many other Toss players. I dunno. I'm still not convinced that he's quite solid enough for code S though. He plays a little gimmicky in my opinion. I admittedly havn't seen all of his games though, so I'm far from an expert. He's undoubtedly the last protoss hope there's left though, so I'm gonna cheer him on 100% in his coming matches. Sage fighting!

Sage fighting! The use of he word gimmicky is wrong in my opinion. Right now I think we can call him a "stylistically different player". Word is out on whether this play style is more sound, less sound, or just as sound as more "standard" Protoss strategies. I'd like to think it is more sound, and not just a unique style to him. He, Hero, JYP, and to a lesser extent Oz seem to be on the forefront of Protoss styles right now, and their winrates are much better than their contemporaries who play "standard". I certainly hope it is more solid, because there is no doubt that what Sage does takes way more skill than turtling up on 3 base and hoping to a-move across the map.

I don't know where you heard me say timing pushes on 3 base is a good or solid playstyle. Imo that was just solid in the past when Zergs sat back passive, massing roaches and took useless bases that they never used, as they lost with 10k/10k against an invinsible collosus / void ray army. Regardless. I wonder how game 1 would've played out if a stray overlord had flown by the proxy robo for instance. What if Lucky had made the lair at his nat.. I dunno I just don't think that this is the future of protoss.

It's an interesting argument that I think deserves to happen outside the scope of this fanclub, and is far too complex to expound upon in a fan club. But given the fact that Protoss generally is struggling right now, and Sage is not struggling, that must mean something. And I'll return to an oft used adage, this is how P v Z evolved in BW, why not in SC2?

Not trying to troll or anything, I'm just scared to put my hopes up too high ^_^ Interesting point about bw pvz. It'll be interesting to see if it might actually be a new hilarious mid game for protoss Fucking cleave the shit down with DTs and then let the void rays loose on him. Sounds like a dusted up bronze build. But hey, so did mass marine... :p
