We're fine honestly, don't worry about us. In my opinion, there are more subtleties for Protoss players to figure out than the other races and that's what makes the maturation of Protoss players take longer than the other races. Subleties like:
-How do you be effective/efficient with drops? -When to get your first AoE and then when to get your second -How many sentries in each matchup to get? Do the 1-3-X rule, 1 in PvP (after 4gate phase passes), 3 in PvT, and X in PvZ, where X equals the amount of carbonation bubbles in your soda at the time (hint, there will be thousands, unless it's flat soda, in which case pp then get fresh glass)
The biggest differences between a good protoss and a pro are their grasp of the race specific subtleties on top of the macro specific ones, like when to take your third, how to react to what you scout, etc. Those racially specific things are still developing, so hang on, we'll get there!

Basically you are telling me that you are calling for a massive Protoss patch that will allow for them to be competitive - a patch that will be strong enough that if there were zero of them in the GSL, all of a sudden they would represent 33% of Code S/A/B!

My post implies that because of the balance changes, it would not only allow current Protoss users to perform better, but also encourage people to switch to / pick Protoss thus ultimately leading to 33% representation of all races at Code S/A/B level.

Unless you are in a korean teamhouse and spend 60 hours per week developing and practicing builds for a living, you're pretty much restricted to a spectator role in this matter.
On ladder you can still get interesting games with Protoss, since there are enough players who are just too bad to abuse their advantages.

Well, I agree with the first statement, the second one is only useful if you play the game, not if you want it to grow as a spectator sport.
Since I dont play anymore but rather watch the game its a pain to see that sc2 is slowly losing its appeal with all the one-sided competition. This would not be such a problem if it was just by chance that terrans were winning, but it is just not convincing to have such a skewed win distribution across the races at the highest level of play given that there are so no differences in training situation or talent pool.
The community needs to unite and voice their demand for a fair game. People arguing just from the perspective of their own amatuer ladder situation demanding that the viewers should wait forever for some metagame change are hurting this process.
In the long run, game-design problems resulting in unfair competition will severely damage the integrity of a game as a serious sports. The game needs to be fair now, or at least look like its fair, not in some distant time in the future. The mentality to wait and just keep playing is great for yourself to become a better player, but it is bad for the development of the game overall. Hopefully the situation in korea will improve with the new patch going live. Either way it comes way late.

Anyway this patch is pretty nice, should help a lot for ladder protoss but not sure if it'll do much for the general game design flaws of the race at the highest level. but sometimes patches have had huge unexpected results. Immortals actually become quite good versus mass roach which was extremely annoying at denying thirds. A lot of GSL problems for protoss come from garbage maps like Dual Sight or Bel'shir Beach. No way MC would have lost to Monster on a map where he could get his third.

The only encouragement I can offer is that your race is very strong and if played right is very, very potent, you just need to play it out correctly. Unfortuantely I think a lot of protoss are playing poorly and/or not innovating because the protoss playstyle hasn't really been forced to change much since beta, so many protoss are stuck in certain mindsets that hold them down (it's not the race, it's the players)
I wish we'd see less of these threads. No one wanted to hear zerg talk about how bad they had/have it and no one wants to hear protoss do the same (and whenever terran finally starts losing, no one's gonna wanna hear their shit either).
That being said, HerO's play looks really promising, and I really like Sage. I think either of them have the best chance of being the next big protoss at the moment.
I'm a Silver Toss and I'm having a real trouble vs the IMBA Terran. They are really a pain in the ass thanks to their EMP and Stim with their Shell and Shield. That's the reason why our race is getting in deep shit thanks to those imba terrans. I wish Blizzard will change that -_-"

Infestors have been nerfed enough to keep Protoss units effective enough to become deathball oriented again. Don't know why you are still complaining. With army splits you can especially limit what Infestors do, and Neural is only useful now on Immortals.
pvt clearly is a problem, but I don't see what is wrong with pvz

I agree, PvZ seems fine now, but PvT with 1-1-1 and superghosts is another story.
