It's just too big of a risk right now to devote full time. Even the best players in code S right now who have seemingly "made it" as a progamer are taking a risk in the long run. Just look what happened to fruitdealer. He'll never get another sponsor, salary, or even prize money for the rest of his career most likely.

But i agree with your post overall, and i think if you really do want to have the aspirations of becoming a pro like certain people do. You should spend less time talking about it on the forum and more time doing it in game.

True pro gamers don't even have time to love the game like this. They have to spend all their waking moments just playing the game and trying to improve.

I'd like to add that to become a "pro," you also have to prove that you can play well on stage. How many fables about "practice bonjwa" have we heard from the Korean SCBW scene? For example, Jaehoon was forever known to be amazing in MBC in-house tournaments, but we all know how "good" he was on stage (well, to his credit, he stepped it up in 2010-2011 season). Being "masters" or "grandmasters" on the NA server (or even KR server, for that matter) doesn't mean squat if you can't handle the pressure of playing on stage. Online rankings don't net you the money, winning on live televised matches do. Not being able to handle the pressure, good players that can't perform on stage will forever be practice partners - you know, the people that earn pennies plus their meals and stay. I'll believe it when someone here who's blogged a "Going Pro" actually wins something significant and blogs about it.
