Life is about choices. Seba Jun took the Shuto Expressway that other day and everything has changed. Why? We will never know. What matters is that I know he really changed my life and everything I listen to. My music taste, my relashionships with other people, my moral spine and so on and so on. That sounds kinda cheesy but I dont cere. He was special.
This is the first track I have ever heard from him. I was sitting on a couch, drinking a glass of an orange juice and my buddy did bring a CD. "You HAVE TO listen to this" he said, rushing to the CD player, putting in a burned out CD with some mp3 downloaded from audiogalaxy ore some other old p2p system. Nujabes CD's in Poland? You coudnt buy them even in 2006. So I was just sitting there, then IT starded. I was like "OH MY GOD". Even Dj Krush did not crushed me like that. That was so emotional.
Nujabes is only one. That's for sure. Since I heard Hydeout Productions 1st collection I was in love. Really. There is something really special in this. It reaches far beyond ordinary music, it's art. He released 3 LP's, some compilation albums and 2 Hydeout anthologies (hydeout productions was his 1st baby ). His influence on people lifes was undeniable. Although it never be someone like Nujabes, we still got his music. And that's a lot.
damn, i loved nujabes so much. listened to his pieces so many times when i'm done or when i'm studying, or when i'm just taking a simple bus ride down to town.
aruarian dance is also another favourite, aside from counting stars. luv(sic) series are amazing, though i can't find part 4
Made a nujabes-like playlist on my itunes for whenever I'm in that type of mood. RIP Nujabes - and thanks for sharing all of this. <3
i am a big nujabes fan, and when i found out that he passed away i was crushed. i haven't had a musician reach out to me with his music like he did, he made some pretty awesome music. great taste OP.
Funny, i am a nujabes nut but for different reasons.
My definitive nujabes song (i.e. listen to this one) would be
However, my favourite nujabes work is his ristorante mixtape. i've listened to that soooo many times over the past 2 years, to the point of obsession. Also introduced me to some cool artists (go prefuse73!).
Awesome to see someone else so passionate about such a great musician.
