Week 3: Special Guests? Nooo Probrem! http://tv.esl.eu/de/vod/view/23258
Hey guys,
So part of my job over at ESL is pumping out new content for the community. Rotti and I have been talking about what we want to do, and a few days ago got the go ahead from the powers that be. This is what we've got in store for you guys for the next 8 months or so.
ESL TV’s new broadcast schedule
Map of the Month: Starting Wednesday, August 31st at 6PM CEST
ESL is excited to announce a partnership with the Map of the Month organization. This amazing community driven project has been operating for just under a year now. Their format, while simple, has yielded some really great maps and some incredibly exciting games.
A little bit of history:
Map of the Month takes community submissions every month. A committee of judges, including long time Broodwar mappers, previous Map of the Month winners, and professional players, chooses the five best community submissions.
Those five maps then makeup the map pool for a monthly tournament. Map of the Month organizers then put up a prize purse (usually from their own pockets) and invite professionals to play-test that month’s top five maps in a tournament setting.
From now on, ESL will be working with Map of the Month to provide prize-incentives for the best mappers and players, and will be broadcasting weekly show-matches on custom maps, and the monthly tournament through the ESL TV platform. All games will be cast by Rotterdam and Mr. Bitter.
The Grass is Always Greener: Fridays at 8PM CEST
Rotterdam and Mr. Bitter are most known in the community for creating content and casting Starcraft 2, but it would be a lie to say that they don’t also have reputations as being a little bit biased. Whether it be Rotterdam’s whining about roaches, or Mr. Bitter’s cries about death-balls, it’s no secret that both of these guys have very stubborn opinions about Starcraft 2 and its balance.
So, why not try a bit of a role reversal? Friday evenings, Mr. Bitter and Rotterdam will be bringing you “The Grass is Always Greener”, a show where each one learns the other’s race under the tutelage of their counterparts. Balance cries, hilarity, and the occasional drunken-challenge-offrace-showmatch-throwdown are sure to ensue as these two learn how things really taste on the other side of the fence.
12 Weeks with the Pros: Dates and times to be announced after IEM NY
12 Weeks with the Pros will finally return, and this time will be feature two hosts! Rotterdam and Mr. Bitter will be learning the ropes of the Terran race together, but they won’t be without help. Every week, top pros from Europe, and around the world will be joining them as they learn the builds, drill the mechanics, and make lots and lots of marines on their way to Grandmater ranks with the Terran race.
12 Weeks will return after IEM New York. More details to follow.
Rotterdam University: Dates and times to be announced after IEM NY
Rotterdam University will also be returning, albeit with a slightly new concept. The show will resume in Mid-October, and will feature a couple of lady gamers in competition against each other, and under the instruction of Rotterdam and Mr. Bitter respectively.
Rumor has it that there’s a strip-tease challenge at the end of the season...
Keep your eyes on this thread, as it's where I will be posting links to VODs, and leaving updated schedules for the weeks to come.
Hope you guys are as excited as I am!

Hope the rumor with the women ends up not true. Cause that to me would be a bit much for a sc2 show tbh. I would hope ESL keeps things G rated.
Otherwise it looks good. Will for sure be tuning in! the content looks pretty solid and will be great to have regular programing

at first I was like "oh nice, a show escepially for female gamers. Will be interesting I guess" and than this sexist bullshit? I hope that that doesn't come true..
other than that the events look nice, but this just hurts

Wow.. really looking forward to watching these shows, they all look really great, especially "The Grass is Always Greener" i've already heard some funny stories about MrBitter queueing up 4 High templar in a gateway. (Trust Rotterdam's show to have a strip tease at the end :D)

I hope that that doesn't come true.. other than that the events look nice, but this just hurts That's just a joke. If you watched previous Rotterdam University, you'd know that they made stupid bets and ended topless in the show (don't remember the exact bets though). Take it with a grain of salt please, that's just humour
Come on. Everything on the internet is obviously serious business. There's no room for any form of humor. Everyone knows that.
