Hang in there, man. One day they might even figure out why it happens and what can be actually done about it, but in the meantime doing what you love and taking care of yourself as best you can seems to be all you can do. As UnknownReclaimer said, keep on keeping on! As for the challenge, training for it sounds like a hilarious reason to get into the physical shape you want to be in. Go for it!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short-term_effects_of_alcohol#Effects_by_dosage I posted earlier in this thread but my post is lost, so here goes again. I don't know how you are planning to consume the 26.2 drinks, but I would recommend you are extremely careful. 26.2 drinks is enough to kill a person who has been eating healthily and drinking plenty of water. I have no idea what it could do to a person who has run a marathon, done like 300 chin ups and eaten 26 donuts. I'm sure you're planning on spreading the drinks out rather than dominating them all as quickly as possible, but I'm just posting to make sure you're aware of what drinking that amount of alcohol could do to you.

And you can run two 1 milers, each faster than you can run just one? Sorry man, your times make no sense what-so-ever. Oh, and Tyler, throw in half a deck of cards worth of pushups (26, or 26.2 if you so please). Every card you draw, you do that many pushups (Js are 11, Qs, 12, etc). You're only supposed to count personal records from races; I haven't competed in the 800 or the mile (track) or the 3 mile (xc) since high school. In college you do 6 miles instead of 3, and another thing to consider is that the 17:34 personal record was on the Mt. SAC course.

Your liver converts alcohols to sugars at a rate of approximately 1 drink an hour. That BAC chart you linked doesn't take elapsed time into account.

That's why I said "I'm sure you're planning on spreading the drinks out". But the BAC chart almost doesn't apply in this case since he will be doing so much exercise on the day. 26 drinks isn't that much, i have friends that can drink 96 shots of pretty strong stuff in a nights worth of drinking so probably around 6 to 8 hours... 26 beers isn't that much. I'm sorry but science begs to differ. 26 drinks is enough to kill you. 96 shots is physically impossible, and if it were consumed it would definitely kill you. 96 shots over 24 hours would still kill you. Your friends are lying.

You believe them? That is scientifically and physically impossible. Reminds me of some friends who claim to have drank 20 shots in an hour as if that will make them look better. No, dude, you would be dead. Tyler, glad you are doing this. I don't know what else I can say besides I wish for the best regarding your depression. Good luck my man.

Good luck my man. 20 shots in an hour is very far from impossible, even if you have to go to detox after (not that everyone would need that, it's 0.4 L of alcohol, c'mon it's not inhuman quantity), 26 beers in an hour or even in a couple of hours would be impossible it's 13 liters and your body can't really make room for that much unless you have some super awesome metabolism. The alcohol itself in it is not so crazy, ofc depends on how good you are at drinking, in 26 hours, with 0.4 dozes of beer i would definitely take it, that's only like 10 liters, with 0.5 or higher dozes i'd need to prepare for it.

Oh you're probably right, I threw out a random number out there because I couldn't remember what exactly he said. It was just something ridiculous because everyone there laughed at him. Especially because it was some skinny small dude haha. I would be so miserable after 20 liquor shots in an hour, but I suppose it's do-able?

Need some prior training preparation for such feat to be successful though.Maybe you should set up your treadmill so you can walk while simultaneously playing SC2.
