It was certainly what coke-cola fed to the public, and it may well even be true. The net results whether intentional or not was huge gains for coke-cola in the aftermath of releasing an "inferior" product before re-releasing there old one and to quote the esteemed Dr Gregory House, "Results all that matter, not intentions". If you insist on talking about this can you stop calling it coke-cola? Seems strange that you would try to act like an aficionado on the situation and you don't even know what it is called. Anyway, Geoff back is tremendous. I can watch the show again!! For the people making the argument that Leah was great for the show since she watches more games than the rest of the people...that is a horrific argument. If that makes for a good pillar, then I'd apparently be fantastic on the show. The goal should be to help the talent watch more sc2 rather than keep someone wildly unqualified on just because they watched more games.

Never put trust in auto corrective spell checkers when typing in a hurry. Theres not a single person on the planet that doesn't know what that brand is. ___________ Honestly I expect it will probably be incontrol. I suppose it could be an older broodwar player returning to the scene.

he isn't currently a pro player so he doesn't have as much insight into the current sotg. worse, he typically hasn't watched a lot of the gsl matches, so even if he wanted to give insightful analysis or commentary, he can't really. i feel like geoff and tyler have given lots of intelligent analysis of players, matches, and matchups and can back them up good examples and logic. i feel that's missing from day9. to be clear, that's only with respect to this podcast. he's an excellent caster and great on his dailies.

Well if you want to look at it that way, none of the pillars are really high end progamers (not even in NA, the weakest region). And none of them really watch all of GSL either. The way I remember it, it's Tyler and Sean that actually gave the most insightful comments about the game (in the pre-Artosis era). In fact that's the one thing where Sean always has something clever to say, it's the drama topics he avoids and/or laughs them away.

I couldn't disagree more. Day 9's personality makes him great on this show. And while he isn't a pro player, he has a great wealth of knowledge. If you have ever seen him on JP's stream while JP plays, Sean gives such great insight. And I would say he watches more matches than Tyler and Geoff did.

His wealth of knowledge was a lot higher in the beta and early release when there was a lot less to know. All three of Artosis, Tasteless and Day9 definitely are not at the peak of understanding the game like they once were, Homestory and MC casting in broken English showed this.

And he disrepects TotalBiscuit motives for coming to Starcraft. Can't see anyone as more of a hypocrite than Geoff. Talk about flip flop. I just don't like the negativity that Geoff brings to SOTG. Motives? Sotg was incredibly beneficial for Geoffs position in the community, and he has acknowledged this several times. If any obstacles was cleared, then it would be a logical step for him to move back. He also adds value to the show. The one old friend i would really love back on sotg was CauthonLuck, but i guess we wont see him in sc2 anymore. I miss you cluck!

But we all know he must have other motives(to destroy SotG from the INSIDE)

Well then none of the people on the show have a wealth of knowledge compared to MC, outside of Huk. Clearly the Koreans are ahead of us, but I think everyone on the show is more than capable of breaking down their play and having a good discussion about it.
