edit: not sarcasm
IdrA is a great guest, he is very knowledgeable and usually controversial.

His reason for returning is that he loves being on the show. He begged off because: 1) he didn't have the time; and 2) behind the scenes politics w/EG. Now that he's dropped NASL, he has more time, and the folks at EG are fine with him being on the show. So why not come back? It's not that complicated.

is incontrol coming back today?

I really hope Leah doesn't come back on the show. She does watch a lot of Starcraft, but she's not a good guest.

I think she is a great guest. Just another flavor.

She does definitely do a lot for us as a group on G4 but she's too normal (;p) to be a fun personality. Destiny could be a decent acquisition if he stays reasonable. Hell Mr.Bitter wouldn't be a poor one either.
I hope they discuss the current Terran situation in the GSL and MLG(with the foreign hopes of Nani and Huk being taken out before the final round).

That said, the past few weeks have been fairly meh and if Geoff is back, then I'm happy. Funny as hell, imho.

Im slightly inclined to agree even though i banned probably 500 leah haters on incontrol's last sotg. Shes a good guest but having her on 3 shows in a row gets kind of stale. But ironicly shows after MLG would suit her the best because she is a "reporter" for g4tv and goes to every mlg.

I think a lot of people find it easy to place the blame on her, the pace of the show has changed since pre-hiatus, it went from more of a pro player talk meta game to tournament recaps with some news and alot of Q&A with minimal conversations between guests and mostly between JP and one guest at a time. It's easy for people to blame leah but I think had the cast never changed and she was on, she wouldn't get so much hate.

Really wish there was a preshow

Quick question: When does JP usually upload Sotg to be downloadable? I want to listen to it at work tomorrow and was wondering if he usually has it uploaded shortly after it's finished.

I'm guessing artosis won't be on this SOTG? or is he skipping the code A qualifiers today? Boxer, DRG, FXO, etc are all playing today!! HE CANT MISS IT

I like Leah being on the show. Although she obviously isn't as technically skilled at the game as the other players, she represents a big chunk of the community. There's some games I watch that aren't good for any strategic reason, but they are just damn entertaining games, and I think Leah gives that perspective.

It's not hate. She's fine, she just doesn't fit very well on the show. You've got big personalities like Dan/Sean/Geoff (and Tyler in his own subtle way) usually with something interesting to say. Combine that with how well they play off each other and you get great chemistry. You get the feeling Leah's just kind of... there. That's fine if her appearances are here and there, but I think the show would be hurt if she were a permanent addition.

This. iNcontrol is a decent enough guy and certainly has an entertaining personality, but I think that the revamped SoTG with JP a FT employee of MLG now, Artosis (and Leah?) coming on-board, and subtle topic shifts deserves a chance (i.e. more episodes) to see if the new format is worthwhile. If not, then perhaps in another month or so I could be clamoring for iNc's return like the many replies in this thread tonight. Nevertheless, I see it as SoTG entering a phase 2 or a new iteration or however you want to call it with slick production and Artosis replacing iNc as a pillar. I don't agree that the show has been worse w/o iNc, but regardless I just feel that the revamped show deserves a larger sample size.

Incontrol has to do something with his time, because he certainly won't be playing pro SC2 for long at this rate.

This. I would much prefer he spent 2 hours of quality practice time then on the show. I didn't really like him on the show(some stuff like the horse convo was hilarious) and so far hes doing fairly bad in SC2 imo. He was pretty good in BW and I would rather see him get back up to a high level(preferably able to play toe-to-toe with Korean Code B/A/S) then come on STOG.
