I had pretty much written off watching anymore, but if Inc came back, so would I.

The newest one was pretty boring / awkward so you didn't miss too much. Very strict one at a time Q&A with minimal pillar interaction and a lot of strange rules etc.

Nobody on the show seems to want to start any real conversation and it's a huge problem at the moment. JP brings up the subject, asks Tyler for his opinion, Tyler rambles until he's done, awkward silence, JP asks Artosis his opinion, Artosis rambles, etc. until it's gone around the table and then onto the next subject... I was bored through the entire episode. iNcontrol was willing to push things into a back and forth discussion with the others, which made the show not so fucking boring. They need someone who has the ability to churn up such conversation/arguments on the show, but there are very few of those whom are established personalities in the SC community. Hell, I can only think of 3: iNcontrol, Destiny, and DJwheat. JP either needs to bring back iNcontrol, or find someone who's going to bring this element back to the show.

There isn't that much conversation going on - and JP still has some room to improve on the conversational obligations as host. JP may feel like he isn't qualified to talk about certain issues (game balance for instance), so he shies away from putting his own input, or posing questions. With Incontrol there it was like he was sharing the hosting job with JP, and now that hes gone JP's weaknesses are emphasized.

Leah is pretty good too, she watches a lot of Starcraft has some good things to say and is also + Show Spoiler + very attractive.

This is 100% the way I felt about the last show. It was so boring! I don't know why there wasn't really a conversation. It felt like JP framed the discussion badly - instead of just listing some random things, I would have much rather heard everyone discuss broad topics like the development of the metagame over the last year. How much more interesting and engaging would that be instead of "whats the best balance change?", etc. SOTG should be about depth, and for some reason that's lacking since InControl has left. JP - ask more open ended questions, let your pillars discuss and converse, don't try to constrain the conversation so much like last episode.

Lets be honest, she has no place in a discussion of a) progamming news or b) balance discussion. Her answers hold no merit as she only says names things she knows off the top of her head. She also only talks when asked upon.

But for the love of god, she has no place in a SCII hardcore analysis show (IMO.) Her questions are just irritatingly dull, she says nothing insightful or funny, and she stands out as nothing more than a chance at getting eye candy on the show. Which is really not her fault. She's not really built herself around this one game. So please stop bringing her on, as I can't actually stand watching SOTG with her (and subsequently, will be skipping any future shows that she has anything more than a cameo on) Also agree with the dull, directionless questions. I know Day9 is capable of throwing a wrench into the gears and bringing up real conversation (his getting into it with idra was one of the best moments on the show) but he seems so obsessed with PC-ness about his obscenely huge fanbase, that he doesn't really bite anymore. Too much discussion of tournaments. I really don't like listening to an hour and a half of announcing rosters for a tournament that will end in two days. I want to hear juicy shit, like the drama around puma, balance questions, patch questions, strategy questions, matchup questions. Those are interesting. Hearing "so five koreans are coming to MLG whogivesafuck, tyler, what do you think about this?" is getting dull to the point of tears. Again, all just feedback. It's not my show, I just watch it. Also, find a terran to come on regularly. Two protoss and a predominantly zerg is just... lopsided. When you have all points of view, there's much more opportunity for really fun discussion. Bring in QXC. That man would be perfect.

I think the problem she has is she is talked over a lot and doesn't get the spotlight much (mostly b/c of JPs moderating which rarely gives guests a chance to talk).

Why is all negative talk, even reinforcing, deemed as unacceptable? Has implying that any female that plays this game, in any regard, is anything less than perfect in every regard suddenly mandatory since the kelly milkies (who I was a fan of, to be clear) BS?

What more could you ask for? Edit: Oh, but I agree 100% with pretty much everything you said.
