Pro tip: don't say "gg" before your opponent if you're winning.

I assume that people will be placed into GM from day 1 of the server reset, unlike last season where there was a wait. If your MMR is significantly better than top 200, you will be fine if you play a game close to when the server resets. If your MMR is slightly outside the top 200, you are best off if you play like a madman starting the second the server reset hits. Even if you don't have top 200 MMR at the time of the reset, you just need your MMR to get in the top 200 at some point during your session to make GM. If you wait too long, other people with roughly the same skill level as you will get into GM essentially through this way, and the only remaining spots will be the 'reserved' spots for people with a significantly higher MMR than the baseline. If your MMR is too far outside the top 200 there's not much you can do.

Pretty obvious. Not sure if you don't understand how the ladder system works or what, but it means you're top 200 in the U.S. ladder. Obviously, that means something. It means you are likely better than most players below you. That DEFINITELY means something. False sense of achievement? It seems like quite an achievement to me. Just because better competition exists doesn't mean that GM isn't an accomplishment. The players there are generally better, which means YOU'LL get better playing them. That sounds that a great idea for players trying to get better. See, you just want to sound elitist and condescending. And you're doing a good job. Too bad it isn't over something more important than a video game.

Yeh, okay, that's why there's tons of players who don't get GM that are just as good as the GM's I've beaten tons of GM's and I'm not GM... therefore, it means nothing Go look at any GM's match history.. do they only lose to GM players? My case stands, you tried to change my mind, but it didn't work Also, suppose he does get GM. I've beaten him before, and I'm probably not going to try to get GM.. does that make him better than me? Did he achieve anything? Maybe you're a bronze player and GM seems appealing to you, but once you get to their actual level you realize that it means nothing SlayerSCella, EGIdrA, FXOSheth, LGShew, JulyZerg.... all aren't GM on NA. the List goes on. Do you really think they lose to all GM players?

The players there are generally better, which means YOU'LL get better playing them. He already plays them, there's no hold back from the currently assigned league value. MMR counts

That and you sound like an elitist, as the guy above me said. Whatever, defend this guy all you want GM doesn't matter

My MMR is still pretty high up there i think ( i hope T_T), but i started today with a 21 wins and 25 losses. Pretty shitty win rate, I wouldn't be suprised if my MMR got lower. Played Deezer, ThisIsJimmy, Namhcir, and other high pointed players today. 433 Points. Overall, I'm not satisfied with my results today, I better pick it up before 2nd week.

LOL Yeah my left arm actually hurts after playing that many games because i tend to spam quite a bit. By the way! Can you or any other high level player take a few minutes one some days to play a few practice games? I feel like my ZvP and ZvZ is GM level but my ZvT felt so lacking today. It would help a ton in preperation for the 2nd week.
