Hey there TL,
I just got out of Basic Training for the US Army, and i feel completely lost. I need some advice. All the people I had met and trained with before i went in have since quit. I know have no practice partners, and even if i did, i don't even know what race I want to play. I'm only a bronze league, but i had been working my ass off to improve, constantly watching day9, playing with a rather large practice group (in both size and skill) over skype almost every night... I feel like all that has gone out the window.
HELP PLEASE!
skYY
a side note- I play on the NA servers, but wanted to start playing KR and EU too... what's the process for that?

I'm not really sure what you're asking for. What do you need help with? You mention practice partners and Day9 Dailies - those two are typically great resources for an aspiring player such as yourself (and myself! I'm in Plat.) Basically, to get better, you just have to PRACTICE - practice your macro particularly, always build workers, don't let your money get too high. If you find you're having issues with that, watch your replays and see where you can fix these problems (expansion timings, build more buildings, etc.) Another really great resource is just watching pro players play and stream. At a bronze level it may not be as applicable, because your sole focus should be getting some build orders and working on macro, but it's fun and it helps you see what works and what doesn't in this game.
So - yeah! Just get right back to it, man, and with the right attitude I'm sure you'll pick it up quickly. As for your server question, I'm not entirely sure about that, but, honestly, I wouldn't even WORRY about that right now (unless you have friends you want to play with on another server or something like that).
Good luck!!

thanks for the insight. and yeah, my biggest issue has just been finding more "buddies" as day9 would say. there were a couple amazing chat rooms that i was hanging out in before, but they all seem to have died out. know any good ones?

SPAM ladder games and only save ones where you think you should of won. Watch and analyze those replays as stringently as possible. Write down any and all things you did wrong and at what time it happened (eg, forgetting to 9pylon and end up doing 10pylon, or while in the midst of battle not making more army)
CHOOSE 1 race and stick with it, hopping races make u turn into a copper league poser...
LEARN basic t/z/p vs X Build Orders ( like 3rax Expand, 15hatch 14pool, 2gate robo expand? (idk im not tosser).
LEARN basic hot keys, (eg; a for marine, d for marauder, E for probe, SE for drone (i think ha ha), s for stalker, Z for zergling.)
SCOUT, while it may seem to be trivial to scout with a worker, do it. you will soon pick up on stuff like; Drones getting pulled off gas, Early second gas for toss, whether a T goes gas first and gets a fast factory. usual scout times for races are scv making first depo scouts (~12supply he heads to other base) 9pylon scout (most toss like to scout early) 10/11 Drone scout.
DO NOT play against your 'good' (plat+ if your bronze league) friends, they will always just ROFL stomp you and you won't learn anything by them just murdering you...endlessly
Took me 470ish games to get from 0point bronze (went 0-5 in placement) to 2800 Diamond (back before masters league, i was rank 1 in my division for weeks, until i got fearful of laddering), I self taught myself and i got up to a 58.25% win/loss...it just takes practice... after patch 1.3 (chat channels ect) my comp died and i havent played sc2 in 16weeks FTL.

hey man, I'm a plat Terran with experience in both terran and zerg, my id is rOBinary character code is 420
I would be happy to watch some replays and try and offer some help
skype is drew.talbott
edit: also to play on EU servers all you have to do is buy an NA account and call blizz and ask for them to change it, it'll take a few days but they can do it easy and to play on KR now you have to buy a taiwan account since their servers are linked as of recently
